SUMMARY:
MedPharm Iowa’s Production Associate I (Operations) assists the MedPharm Iowa operations teams at its medical cannabis manufacturing operation. The Production Associate I (Operations) assists the operations team with various tasks following formulation of medical cannabis products through the delivery process. Aspects of the job include packaging, labeling, data entry, and delivery of products to dispensaries across the state.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma required.
- Two (2) plus years of experience in a professional work setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with day-to-day operations in a large-scale medical cannabis manufacturing operation.
- Assist the operations team with completing packaging process for formulated medical cannabis products.
- Assist the operations team with labeling medical cannabis containers efficiently and accurately.
- Assist the operations team with filling customer orders, including picking orders from inventory and staging for delivery.
- Assist the operations team with various customer relations projects.
- Assist with monitoring daily inventory and performing reconciliation using the compliance software.
- Document all work conducted in accordance with state and local law.
- Assist with ensuring testing of all cannabis products in accordance with state law.
- Deliver medical cannabis products to dispensaries and the laboratory.
- Promote a positive work environment in line with established policies and procedures.
- Assist with managing the cleanliness and organization of workspaces.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with other manufacturing production tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.

MedPharm Iowa’s Production Associate I assists in the processing of cannabis plant material and in the manufacturing of finished medical cannabis products. This position may also work otherMedPharm Iowa teams at its medical cannabis manufacturing operation. The Production AssociateI, using batch records and other written instructions, assists with processing cannabis plants for extraction, extracting cannabis oil, preparing bulk product mixes, finished product container filling, quality sampling, raw material reconciliation, and other manufacturing related tasks.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma required.
- Two (2) plus years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with day-to-day operations in a large-scale medical cannabis manufacturing operation.
- Assist the processing team with destemming cannabis plants and preparing plant material for extraction.
- Assist the processing team with extracting cannabis oil from cannabis plant material.
- Assist the processing team with purifying extracted cannabis oil for formulation.
- Assist the processing team with cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Assist the processing team with QC sample preparation of all in-process flower and oil samples.
- Maintain accurate written records of processing batch records and QC forms.
