Job Summary:
The Packaging Tech is responsible for safely and effectively sorting, counting, weighing out, labeling and packaging a large variety of products sold to our stores, in addition to various warehouse tasks delegated by a supervisor. The Packaging Tech reports directly to the warehouse manager, and warehouse assistant manager.
Job Duties:
- Weighing out, packaging and labeling products in inventory.
- Be able to accurately and efficiently count, sort, label, assemble, bag, seal, tape, box, and pack inventory for sales.
- Reaching production quotas by maintaining a quick, efficient pace, and in compliance of companies SOP’s and state regulations.
- Performing basic visual quality inspections on products
- Quality control - helping to verify the right products and their specific quantities in orders being sent to and from the warehouse
- Maintaining a clean, organized, safe work area for yourself and other employees
- All tasks must be completed to meet and be compliant of all standards, rules, and regulations set in place by the OLCC.
- Various computer-oriented tasks - making orders in unique inventory management software, generating sales receipts in QuickBooks, etc.
- Additional tasks given to you by your supervisor. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

- Weighing out, packaging and labeling products in inventory.
- Be able to accurately and efficiently count, sort, label, assemble, bag, seal, tape, box, and pack inventory for sales.
- Reaching production quotas by maintaining a quick, efficient pace, and in compliance of companies SOP’s and state regulations.
- Performing basic visual quality inspections on products

Responsibilities
- Develop business strategies to raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
- Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Maintain accurate inventory and perform audits
- Maintain live back stock of product using computer systems and SOPs in place.
- MUST be familiar with all OLCC rules and regulations pertaining to the cannabis industry.
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
- Actively train and monitor staff to raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic, increase positive customer experiences, and optimize profitability
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
- Resolve all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc.)
- Hire and fire staff
- Provide trainings and memos to staff
- Manage timecard adjustments and approve timecards
- Ensures staff is appropriately clocking in and out.
- Be a positive example of well behavior and high performance
- Additional store manager duties as needed

Responsibilities
- Conduct sales and customer service through maintaining a properly stocked, organized, uncluttered, safe, and inviting store environment
- Promote work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, including greeting customers warmly when they enter
- Comply with established state, local and company policies and procedures
- Staying up-to-date with new products, strains, changes in law, and industry trends in order to provide the highest level of customer service
- Educate clients about a variety of cannabis products including flower, edibles, and concentrates, providing information on cannabis products based on client needs/requests
- Advising client on proper safety measures to follow when consuming cannabis
- Maintain and use completely and accurately (POS) and METRC systems for all in-store, online, and phone orders
- Handle completely and accurately cash and discount application
- Verify proper paperwork, documentation and ID of all customers
- Weighing and packaging products as needed
Requirements
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, team-oriented and disciplined work ethic
- Detail-oriented; able to stay organized and on task in a fast-paced environment
- Previous retail cannabis experience strongly preferred
- Experience handling cash transactions and maintaining a balanced drawer
- Ability to perform to sales goals and team goals
- 2+ years of experience in a retail environment
- 1+ years of cannabis retail experience preferred
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must remain compliant with all state and company rules and regulations
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds. This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching
