Job Purpose
As GRAV grows, we need to deploy cash with intelligence and confidence. The Director of Finance drives our investment strategy, informing and advising the leadership team as we increase inventory purchasing, payroll, and operating expenses. The Finance Director leads the Finance team to become more efficient, more forward-looking, better able to predict income and expense trends, and faster to callout anomalous indicators.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys building a team and working in a dynamic environment charged with growth and creativity. They aren’t afraid to disagree with the consensus, but they commit to decisions once they’re made. They have a long and accurate memory. They’re less concerned with title and status than they are with having an impact within the organization.
GRAV’s Finance Director is more a transformative strategist than an accountant and they’re not averse to taking risks. They’re eager to be part of the growing cannabis industry and a company that sees cannabis in a broader context of social and criminal justice.
A successful Director of Finance will meet the following near-term goals:
At 30 Days:
- Familiarized with software stack and team
- A regular reporting stack is developed and any new analytics tools are requested
- The 2021 financial model has been thoroughly reviewed with recommendations directed to the appropriate parties
- Discussed growth strategy thoroughly with the leadership team, as well as historical context
At 90 Days:
- Developed plan to right-size the finance team and reduce spending on third party accounting services
- Meeting weekly with department leaders to discuss over and under spending and plans to get on track with budgets
- Presented opportunity analysis to leadership
At 6 Months:
- All FP&A work is moved in house
- 2022 financial model is built and inventory plan is aligned with revenue projections
- Financial software stack is optimized to new ERP and all new processes are documented
- GRAV’s expansion into legal cannabis markets has become a meaningful component of our overall revenue and expense forecasting
Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze and summarize complex issues for executive presentation with recommendations and actions
- Draw insights from data and act on those insights to influence others and drive the business forward
- Act as a managerial adviser on financial issues with a view towards reaching strategic decisions
- Create financial forecasts
- Conduct risk analysis for departmental and organizational projects
- Work with leaders to develop and track departmental budgets and hold leaders accountable to them
- Manage lines of credit; advise when credit can and should be paid down or when additional credit is needed
- Responsible for the selection and management of financial reporting tools
- Manage relationships with tax services, third party accountants, and banks
- Monitor and refine sales and purchasing processes that impact accounting
- Serve as an advisor to leadership on employee compensation and incentive plans
- Expertise in FP&A and Financial Modeling
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field
- Additional accreditation preferred (CPA, Master’s degree, etc.)
- 5 years of financial management experience
- 3 years of leadership experience
- Proficiency in Quickbooks
- Knowledge of Brightpearl preferred
- Excellent spreadsheet and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time and project management

Grav is searching for a Product and Packaging Designer with at least 2 years of design experience. You will be an integral part of a small development team that is passionate about changing the world of Cannabis. To succeed, candidate must possess creative vision along with the practical skills of research, sketching, prototyping, and CAD modeling to bring ideas to life. You will work directly with the Product Director, Lead Designer, and Marketing Director to collaborate with cross-functional teams and facilitate completion of projects. We operate in a feedback friendly, fast-paced environment where employees' ideas and feedback are critical in our efforts to continue delivering amazing product solutions for our consumers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop concepts from project scope and constraints using visualization, CAD modeling, rendering, and prototyping.
- Assist in establishing scope, objectives, timelines, and resource needs.
- Deliver detailed design specs and prototypes for usability and concept testing
- Create customized packaging solutions
- Collaborate with Marketing Director to develop marketing materials and products, such as POS displays and promotional merchandise.
Qualifications:
- Degree in product design, or 2+ years’ of industry experience
- Experience in packaging design with the ability to create packaging die-lines for products
- Strong research and visualization skills
- Proficient in CAD 3D modeling and drawing using Fusion, Solidworks, or similar software. (including components and assemblies)
- A self-starter, must be able to take direction and function in a small business environment with loose structure
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Flexibility – Priorities evolve, be able to embrace the change and adapt as needed

THIS ROLE
As the voice of your brand for customers on social, you have to be able to drop what you’re doing at a moment’s notice to hop on a trending topic or handle a disgruntled customer complaint. This position will be responsible for understanding our long and short-term goals and how best to use our social presence to grow the business. You thrive on being subject matter expert in all things social and always thinking one step ahead. We are looking for someone with extensive experience bringing consumer brands to life across multiple social channels. We are looking for someone with at least 4 years of experience in Social Media for direct to consumer brands through internships and work experience, preferably in cannabis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and implementation of social strategy across all of GRAV’s channels
- Develop performance goals and monthly performance reports to demonstrate the effectiveness of social content and provide optimization recommendations
- Keep current on best practices and social media trends-- be a thought leader in the space
- Concept GRAV’s social content and campaigns
- Own content calendar and daily publishing through Sprout Social
- Oversee influencer strategy and deployment
- Identify and develop social partnerships with like-minded brands
- Manage and engage directly with the GRAV’s community, including working alongside Customer Service to handle customer inquiries
- Collaborate with Sales and Ecommerce departments to amplify initiatives
- Has or willing to learn basic SEO tactics and best practices
- Cannabis industry experience preferred.

Job Purpose
To service the issues, questions, and requests of GRAV’s consumer and business customers. To inform GRAV Sales and Operational leadership of recurring quality issues, trends in buying behavior, and ideas for improvement. To support fellow customer satisfaction agents in order to address all customer needs thoroughly and efficiently. To uphold GRAV’s reputation as a brand that cares about customers and delivers consistent quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Have a customer-driven approach when handling incoming calls and e-mails for service issues, pricing, warranties, and cancellations.
- Proactively resolves customer concerns quickly and efficiently, often coming up with creative solutions and escalate when needed
- Document patterns in claims with supporting revenue and unit numbers and share these regularly with Product Dev and Production Ops so vendor issues can be addressed
- Refine claims processes and policies to the benefit of the organization. Keep VP of Sales informed on proposed changes to processes and policies and the reasoning behind them
- Monitor the percent of retail revenue being spent on claims, with a goal to sustain at or below 5%. The goal of consumer Customer Satisfaction is to keep people as happy as possible below 5%, and to appropriately enforce policy as the 5% threshold nears.
- Enforce policy more strictly with business customers, while still presenting a solution-oriented attitude.
- Whenever possible, contribute to the overall revenue goal by helping customers reach a decision on specific products they might enjoy and championing the brand overall
- Contribute to team cohesion by bringing new ideas and perspectives to group meetings, being willing to help others beyond the purview of your role, relying on your leaders for vision and guidance, and being respectful of team members at all times.
Qualifications
- Honesty and integrity- Effective communication with teammates, leadership, and other departments- Empathic approach to helping people with problems, without bending policy- Emotional resilience and equanimity. Calm under fire.- Proficiency in Excel, Shopify, and/or NetSuite is an advantage but can be trained- Meticulous approach to and concern for the accuracy of customer data- Knowledge of mirroring and active listening- Broad understanding of the cannabis industry, with specialized knowledge of glass and GRAV’s products
