The Marketing Manager supports the MGO and affiliates Cannabis Practice with all day-to-day marketing operations as well as long term strategic planning. This includes managing and developing industry-related marketing plans, budgets, communications, building relationships with key stakeholders, performing various market research and analysis and monitoring key trends. This role is also responsible for coordinating with the event and content teams to execute special industry-related thought leadership, events and promotional activities. The manager will work closely with the marketing lead and Cannabis Practice to develop and execute long-term marketing strategies
Core Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of MD, coordinates marketing activities for the cannabis practice
- Keeps on top of all cannabis and adjacent industry news, insights, events, market place dynamics, trends, regulations and publications and uses that to inform internal teams and marketing plans
- Ensures marketing collateral and activities adheres to Finra regulations or other compliance processes as deemed necessary
- Write talking points for interviews or perform research to prep senior execs as needed
- Develops and disseminates marketing and industry content across social media, company newsletters, channel partners and other platforms
- Assists in the development of marketing presentations and reports / KPI's
- Organizes marketing activities for new service launches, road shows, and campaigns including overseeing content providers, PR agency and events team
- Develops strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and drive qualified traffic/ lead generation
- Partner with the events team to research, maintain and advise on all industry events and , communication
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to write short form content for social media and industry insights
- Event production and PR Background a plus
- Experience with Finra or SEC marketing compliance a plus
- Microsoft Office, Excel
- WordPress or other content management system a plus
- Hootsuite or other relevant social media management software
- Salesforce
Working Conditions:
- Works in the office 80% of the time
- 20% travel to help facilitate events
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA in Marketing, Advertising or Communications
- 4+ years marketing, PR or content marketing experience
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills

ELLO is seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to join our growing team. ELLO is a full service professional services firm providing capital raising, M&A, capital markets advisory, financial advisory, brand advisory, risk and compliance advisory and management consulting services to over 400 cannabis industry clients around the US and internationally.
For this high-impact role, we are seeking a results-oriented, creative and strategic leader to provide leadership to the operations group in supporting corporate and subsidiary initiatives. The COO will work closely with our CEO to oversee all internal company strategies and processes.

Essential Functions
- Plan and direct all aspects of ELLO’s operational policies, objectives, and initiatives
- Identify and implement actions that continually position the business and brand(s) for greater exposure and client engagement
- Assist in scanning the market for opportunities to advance new systems, service and process enhancements; recommend and be an advocate for changes

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in a leadership position in a related function (fund, bank, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, wealth management, etc.)
- Proven experience leading, scaling, and driving a business forward
- Extensive business acumen
- Knowledge and understanding of SEC, FINRA, and ERISA rules strongly preferred
- Extensive client relationship management experience
- Experience in leveraging technology to drive revenue & enhance the client experience
- Proven analytical and research skills
- Ability to prioritize work schedule and meet deadlines
- Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and work assignments
- Attention to detail and recognition of critical issues
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Summary
Ello’s Century City office is looking for an organized, motivated and professional Intern to join our fast-growing Cannabis group. This role would provide exposure to all aspects of Ello’s business units and services offerings, from strategic internal processes to external client engagement, as well as a wide variety of cannabis operators within the cannabis industry, including public and private companies of all sizes.
Responsibilities
- Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports
- Conduct market research and analysis of all industry sectors and sub-sectors as well as related industries (e.g. CPG, pharma, alcohol, tobacco and food)
- Conduct market research and analysis of geographical markets with specific consideration to industry sectors (e.g. international, domestic, state and municipalities)
- Research, analyze and index global cannabis conferences and events
- Help develop internal communication outreach regarding upcoming events and firm participation
- Leverage research and insights to create, develop and refine both existing and new processes within all of Ello’s business units
- Communicate between Ello business units to align process synergies and operational efficiencies
- Research market data to identify key trends for Ello’s hiring strategy
- Assist with research and communication when it comes to potential partners, influencers and beyond
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop and implement content and other projects
- Researching and identifying prospective customers or companies for strategic partnerships
- Research and support continuous education and onboarding training programs
- Work with key stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure all growth initiatives are on track to be met
- Complete Ad Hoc analysis and reports
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in a BA/BS program (minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred)
- Punctual and professional with great time management skills
