Job Title: Store Consultant
Department: Retail
Reports To: Store Manager
Status: Regular Non-Exempt

ROLE SUMMARY:
This position is to focus on delivering the ultimate patient experience by elevating patient service standards as well as educating patients on the benefits and potential side effects of medications. The Store Consultant will oversee patient and/or caregiver services and dispensing per Maine Department rules.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, guests, and coworkers.
- Maintain an ultimate patient experience environment. Lead and coaching new members to company service standards.
- Enter all product and merchandise into point of sale system when received.
- Coordinate “returns” and exchanges in accordance with company policy.
- Update the Register Inventory sheet as needed.
- Assess inventory overages and shortages as well as submit inventory needs to the logistics.
- Assess accessory needs with manager and order as needed.
- Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to drive service standards and positive sales results.
- Maintain knowledge of loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have prior cash handling experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff; ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Highly motivated, confident, high-energy; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and with a variety of personalities at various seniority levels.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
WORK SCHEDULE:

The position responsibilities include support of company goals and objectives, as well as general oversight of daily store operation needs. Responsible for managing personnel, inventory purchasing and tracking, sales goal’s, and bonus targets, as well as the general day-to-day matters for their assigned store. Implementing and maintaining store goals, protocols, policies, and procedures in accordance with company standards.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and implementing strategies to drive service standards and positive sales results
- Maintain an ultimate patient experience environment by leading and coaching the team to company service standards
- Oversee the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, meeting company standards, and ensuring all SOPs are being followed
- Train and develop patient consultants, ensuring all Patient Consultants are knowledgeable on all company products

- Management degree preferred, two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have prior cash handling experience
- Management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service area
- Strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff; ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion
- Highly motivated, confident, high-energy; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

Due to the nature of our business, it is advocated that when representing Elevate Maine that our professionalism meets the needs of the medical patient base that we respectively serve. To uniformly align with the organization, an individual must be able to provide a level of communication that aligns respectively with the diversification of our patients which may exhibit opportunities to assess the situation and apply meaningful service. In addition, must be able to quickly identify and insert additional support where needed to deescalate situations without compromising Elevate Maine’s objective in serving our patient base with excellent customer service.
