Responsibilities

Qualifications:
- 0-3 year of retail experience

- Initiates completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
- Flexible availability – including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese language is a huge plus.

We are currently hiring for 2 new Distillation Operators to assist with the production of high quality hemp distillate along with cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment, recording and entering data, and associated tasks.
The Distillation Operator will be responsible for the consistent, sanitary, and safe production of high purity distillate on a dual stage rolling film molecular evaporation system. The Operator will utilize company policies to successfully uphold the quality and consistency of all products produced. The operator will also be responsible for winterization, isolation, and purification of various cannabinoid products from industrial hemp using various distillation and purification techniques.
Essential/Primary Responsibilities: Regular communication with the Management Team is to be maintained to ensure all operational needs are met and any procedural problems are addressed and resolved proactively. Responsible for using various methods to process industrial hemp oil into high quality cannabis distillate utilizing molecular distillation. This includes, but is not limited to techniques involving winterization, filtration, extraction, separation, and distillation.
Experience / Knowledge Required: Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, engineering or related field preferred but not required. Commercial cannabis laboratory experience is preferred. Extensive hands on experience with the extraction, purification, and isolation of various compounds, preferably including cannabinoids. One to two years of experience with hemp/MMJ oil processing, winterization, and short path distillation.
Duties and Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and tend to equipment and various instruments according to SOPs. Physically operate the system and perform distillation. Understand and perform tasks utilizing fundamental principles in chemistry like extraction, separation, filtration, and distillation. Accurately measure and weigh ingredients, using English or metric measures, and be familiar with using and balancing scales.
Perform all necessary equipment maintenance and safety checks in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions, such as leaks or fractures, and report malfunctions to supervisors. Ensure that the production space is organized, clean, and sanitary throughout daily operations.
Log and track all pertinent information for each post processing responsibility.
Use critical thinking and deductive reasoning to identify and analyze problems, and come up with creative solutions. Work collectively with other team members to come up with novel ideas and techniques to improve current processes. Stay up to date with cutting edge purification and distillation techniques through various digital and print media. Exercise extreme caution and attention to detail around the scientific glassware to prevent breakage. Follow all safety protocols put into place for machine operation every time. Be able to lift up to 50lbs. Be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time. Perform other official duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking an analytical chemist to identify and quantify potency values of various Cannabinoids and other compounds by HPLC analysis.
5 years testing experience, chemistry degree and cover note preferred.
Are you ready to manage your own analytical lab? We are interviewing experienced analytical chemists to help us continue to produce the highest purity, naturally occurring, minor and rare cannabinoids like CBN, CBC, THCV, CBT, and CBDV.
The ideal candidate will have worked at an independent cannabis (THC or Hemp) testing lab and is ready to manage their own analytical lab with HPLC, qPCR and GC-FID capability, supporting R&D, production and issuing COAs for produced products.
Demonstrated record of being a team member who brings an all-around analytical capability to ensure accurate and precise testing as well as being accountable for all facets of analytics and running a lab, eg, supplies, method development, training of techs to assist with sample prep, and maintaining uptime of instrumentation with preventive maintenance Gains the respect of their colleagues with their work, initiative, and team orientation.
Earned reputation for being capable, safety-minded and taking ownership.
Experience with an fast-paced team.
Collaboration with universities and other facilities around the country to adopt/share methods and techniques to advance the industry as a whole.
Prior experience might include pharma or even environmental testing, but should include expertise with HPLC.
