Position Summary
Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
- Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
- Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
- Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information
- Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
- Photography – able to take visually stunning shots of cannabis products, flower, creative shots of products, staff and of the dispensary and events.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, or Public Relations
- Strong project management or organizational skills
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective
- participants (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and how they can be deployed.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when
- necessary.
- Good technical understanding and can learn new hardware and software quickly.
- Public relations, marketing, sales, community management experience.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

PATIENT ADVISOR

What You Will Be Doing –
- Guide the patient and caregiver from waiting area into the consultation area
- Conduct private consultations with patients from all backgrounds, with various medical conditions
- Review the patient’s log of side effects during the patient consultation
- Discuss medical marijuana and medical marijuana products with patients
- Provide education and support to patients regarding medical marijuana and medical marijuana products for the patient’s qualifying condition
- Facilitate the sale in the patient consultation room
- Return the patient’s or caregiver’s registry identification card, and guide them back to the waiting area at end of consultation
Requirements –
- At least 21 years of age, per state law
- Must pass an extensive fingerprinting background check as governed by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations
- At least one year of restaurant, retail or service experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Clean and organized
- Strong computer skills – will be using Point of Sale system, Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred
- Cash handling experience
- Physically Capable - Be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 30 lbs if needed
- Be genuine, approachable and friendly
- Medical Cannabis Patients often make great patient advisors, but it’s not required
- Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
