Director of Cultivation
Reports to: CEO/GM
Pay Range: $70-90k/year
Position Summary: The Director of Cultivation is to oversee our cannabis production. You will ensure we grow different strains properly, identify, and resolve issues with plants and manage budgets. You should have a hands-on approach with good knowledge of cannabis genetics and growth requirements, also overseeing cannabis crops from planting to harvesting. Ensuring the facilities are clean and pest-free. While also managing aspects of cultivation and harvest, including budget and employees.
Core Expectations:
- Oversee the creation and implementation of all cultivation operations, plans, policies, and procedures - including propagation, plant care, IPM, health and safety operations, harvest, etc.
- Create and maintain a transparent, open, and cooperative working environment in which all employees understand their duties and how individual duties affect company goals.
- Create and implement best practices for plant health, paying close attention to different cultivars’ specific needs.
- Collect and analyze data on specific cultivars from seed to sale in order to help owners with strategic decision making.
- Manage the staff, responsible for all plants, equipment, and personnel.
- Create and execute periodic internal audits to ensure company, state, and environmental regulations are met.
- Create and implement a thorough training program for all cultivation personnel on plant propagation, plant care, plant harvest, and compliance.
- Develop and set greenhouse and indoor grow facility environmental parameters and program/monitor automated greenhouse control software.
- Train staff on the operation of the cultivation facility’s automated tools: including grow room temperature controls, lighting, fertigation, light deprivation, and other infrastructure.
- Monitor climate equipment and data – repair, adjust, and maintain as necessary to ensure proper functionality and maximum quality/yield.
- Develop an inspection process to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Responsible for schedules, cultivation processes, and inventory.
- Oversees cultivation tasks and processes, ensures proper documentation of all applicable activities in accordance with the state.
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees the transition of product development by ensuring the proper tasks are executed and the environmental conditions support the cultivation of superior product quality
- Develop and update cultivation SOPs ensuring compliance with State regulations and company policies.
- Develop production schedules, work schedules and duties greenhouse staff.
- Monitor production results regularly with Management Team driving team accountability for adherence to standards and product yield and quality, and responsible for addressing any deviation
- Approve crop-inputs and supplies for the Grow Areas.
- Set and implement integrated pest management strategies in compliance with state and company policy.
- Develop proper sanitation protocols of the Growing Area.
- Coordinate clerical, recordkeeping, inventory and financial data.
- Explain and enforce safety regulations and policies
Core Competencies:
- *5-10 years of cultivation work experience, with at least 5 years at the supervisory or management level.
- Knowledge of the entire cannabis growth cycle and requirements
- Knowledge with the environmental protection practices and local marijuana requirements
- *Excellent working knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMP).
- *Strong conflict resolution and people management skills.
- *Strong leadership with the ability to independently take calculated risk.
- *Highly motivated, energetic, and able to influence a team. Effective negotiation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- *Must have CO MED badge
- Proficient in METRC
- Knowledge of OSHA regulation
- Experiences in Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
- Knowledge of Colorado state specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including work excel, outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate to diverse team
- Adapt to rapidly changing environment
- Can prioritize with minimal direction
- Experience with conflict management
- Familiar with multi tiered supply chain
- Ability to participate in physical labor (lift up to 50 pounds) on occasion
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The position must occasionally lift, push, pull and or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, this position is regularly required to sit and regularly use hand(s) to handle, grasp, feel, and or touch. This position is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
This position is regularly required to bend, stretch, squat, climb, twist, lift, grip, stand, and push/pull.

General Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic General Manager to join our growing dynamic team! The General Manager will oversee all aspects of production including cultivation, lab, and packaging. This individual is responsible for plant safety, quality, and production metrics. This individual will oversee the production, lab, and cultivation teams. The General Manager will utilize a combination of leadership and technical experience to guide the procurement, production, and quality assurance teams. The focus will be on building a work environment that provides management with tools to grow in their respective fields, support a lean operation, and exceed overarching operational objectives.

Primary Responsibilities and Authority of the job:
- Responsible for planning, directing, overseeing, and leading all the operations on the site daily.
- Determine critical inventory levels and manage to them
- Build strong vendor relationships and reduce costs wherever possible
- Oversee greenhouse, processing, packaging, warehousing, and security for the site location with stronger focus on the daily operations of the greenhouse and extraction areas
- Ensure State and City regulations are being followed
- Ensure that regulatory, safety and security procedures are followed at all times by all employees
- Responsible for the building, equipment, and infrastructure and therefore responsible for authorizing any engagement with contractors with respect to the site.
- Responsible for the Quality Assurance department on site.
- Keeping track of activities of the production site and the work performed of the employees on site.
- Authorized to approve for sale of batches of produced dried marijuana, i.e. finished products.
- Responsible for supervising the activities with respect to cannabis.
- Actively demonstrate mission, vision, values to all levels of the organization.
- Implement strategic plans to meet business objectives and advance the company towards its mission and vision.
- Keep accountability of the management team and ensure key performance indicators are met.
- Ensure each department manager is accountable by clearly, defining, tracking, and reviewing monthly goals and potential outcomes.
- Ensure all key products, product launches, and special projects are delivered on time.
- Working with leaders from other departments to align on organizational goals.
Core Competencies:
- Completion of a college or university program in business administration, operations management or comparable.
- 5-10 years of operations work experience, with at least 5 years at the supervisory or management level.
- Excellent working knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
