The Cannabis Cultivator will report to and be supervised by the Operations Manager and the General Manager.
Job Overview :
The Cannabis Cultivator will work with the Operations Manager and other Cultivator’s in developing, implementing and managing the plant health and production. The Cannabis Cultivator will be responsible for the daily operations including processes and procedures within; propagation, vegetation, flowering and harvest.
This role will include working independently as well as part of a team and will require someone who will consistently seek to increase their knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Monitoring growing conditions
- Inspecting crops for: leaf texture, bloom size, the existence of pests and disease; removing substandard or diseased plants to maintain quality standards.
- Plant monitoring and care during vegetative and flowering phase
- Any other tasks and duties as required by management
Cloning: Cutting, rooting and transplanting; clone care, watering and feeding; clone monitoring and climate control; labeling and inventory.
Watering: Mixing nutrients, ensuring correct feed parameters (pH, ppm, temperature), feed schedule
IMP/Plant Health: Identifying common nutrient deficiencies/toxicities, common pests and disease identification, and the correct treatment.
Plant Maintenance: Correct application of pruning, defoliating, training, topping and any other maintenance to ensure the most productive plants.
Harvesting: Cutting plants, trimming cut plants; removing flowering tops.
Curing: Hanging and dry racking flowers, monitoring curing process and climate control.
Operating and Maintaining Cultivation Systems/ Equipment: Monitoring, calibrating, running and maintaining lighting, irrigation, climate control and other cultivation systems; sanitizing and cleaning growing areas, work spaces and tools.

A Trimmer is responsible for preparing cannabis flower from its harvested form to finished form for retail sale.

- Breakdown flowers off the stem and stalk of the plant to separate waste from viable product.
- Trim dry cannabis to the company's standards efficiently while maintaining the highest in quality.
- Work well independently as well as with others.
- Adaptability to different types of strains and types of cannabis as they are trimming; the ability to adjust techniques to maintain a steady pace and consistent quality.
- Time management; must be able to manage their time in order to meet required trim goals.
- Responsible for keeping a clean and orderly work area.

The Tissue Culture Lab Technician will report to and be supervised by the Operations Manager and General Manager.
Job Overview :
A Tissue Culture Lab Tech is responsible for the operations of the Tissue Culture/Genetic Assay Lab. A successful Tissue Culture Tech will consistently seek to increase knowledge and skills to improve and stay up to date with the most advanced techniques utilized in Micropropagation and Genetic Assays of Cannabis. The role will include working independently, as part of a team, and in a management capacity with a subordinate team. Formal experience in a Lab environment and a diverse skill set is appreciated for this role.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Oversee General Lab management, including but not limited to; Supply Inventory, Cleaning/Sanitation, Asst. Tech supervision, and scheduling
- Oversee the collection and care of plants/plant material during the course of Micropagation
- Read and interpret existing Operating Procedures and be familiar with producing new Procedures when needed
- Familiarize with and stay up to date on any equipment or new research in the related fields.
- Maintain and coordinate the growth and management of non-micropropagation plants ie. Stage 4 cultures and Flowering plants in test phase.
- Be knowledgeable about the stages of plant life and diseases that may occur
- Make recommendations on fertilizer adjustments and IPM protocols
- Effectively manage greenhouse equipment and computer control
- Maintain crop and breeding records

Hydrocarbon Extraction Lab Technician, Processing Employee, Caregiver Employee

The Hydrocarbon Extraction Lab Technician will report to and be supervised by the Hydrocarbon Extraction Lab Manager.
Job Overview :
The Hydrocarbon Extraction Lab Technician is responsible for the operations of a hydrocarbon based closed loop extraction machine and associated secondary processing. A successful Lab Technician will consistently seek to increase knowledge and skills for the given process. The role will include working independently, as part of a team, and in a management capacity with a subordinate team. A diverse skill set is appreciated for this role.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Oversee operation of active closed loop hydrocarbon extraction equipment
- Monitor and operate degassing ovens and secondary processing equipment
- Assist in planning extraction schedule to maximize efficiency
- Be knowledgeable about the stages of the lab process
- Make recommendations on SOP adjustments
- Effectively manage lab equipment and computer controls
- Explore ways to improve processes for more efficient production, yields and quality
- Maintain intake, process and delivery records
- Ensure that operation is compliant with local, state, federal and environmental regulations
- Tasks as required by Management
- Maintain patient privacy as required in MMMP Program Rules and HIPPA - the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996
Requirements:
In order to apply for the Hydrocarbon Extraction Lab Technician position, you must be a Maine resident, over the age of 21 and be able to pass a Maine MMMP background check.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in relevant field or demonstration of relevant knowledge
- 1+ years of experience in operating closed loop hydrocarbon extraction equipment.
- Is punctual, reliable, professional and trainable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Has a demonstrated knowledge of Cannabis
- The ability to lift 50lbs unaided.
- Is over the age of 21
- Is a Maine resident
- Can pass a background check as required by the state.
- Maintain patient privacy as required in MMMP program rules and HIPPA.
Authority :
- A Hydrocarbon Extraction Lab Technician and Processing Employee shall be authorized to conduct all activities of a Medical Marijuana Processor pursuant to MMMP Program Rule LD 238
Training :
- On the job training will be provided to supplement existing experience
Evaluations :
- Performance evaluations will be done on an annual basis, except new hires. New hires will be evaluated after 90 days, and then annually.
Schedule :
This position is 2nd shift, 9 hours with a one hour unpaid rest break.

- Effectively manage greenhouse equipment and computer controls
- Explore ways to improve processes for more efficient growth and harvest yields
- Maintain crop and breeding records
- Ensure that operation is compliant with local, state, federal and environmental regulations
- Tasks as required by Management
- Maintain patient privacy as required in MMMP Program Rules and HIPPA - the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996

- A Cultivator and Caregiver Employee shall be authorized to conduct all activities of the Caregiver pursuant to MMMP Program Rule 10-144 Code of Maine Rules Chapter 122
Qualifications
- Associate of Bachelors Degree in relevant field, or demonstration of relevant knowledge
- Must be able to pass State of Maine MMMP background check
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial crop production
- Pass drug test
Training
- On the job training will be provided to supplement existing experience
- Ongoing IPM training will be provided through State of Maine Board of Pest Control
- Attendance to industry conferences and trade shows
Evaluations
- Performance evaluations will be done on an annual basis, except new hires. New hires will be evaluated after 90 days, and then annually.
