The Director of Retail will be a key member of the Company’s management team. They will be responsible for the overall strategy, management, operations and financial performance of the company’s dispensary. This person will help establish and implement standard operating procedures and policies to ensure that the business maintains compliance with all laws and regulations and that the business is being operated in a way that is consistent with the Company’s mission and vision. The Director of Retail will manage and inspire a team that will bring customers an industry leading customer experience. Responsibilities will include; preparing financial and operational reports, hiring and coaching, inventory purchasing and management, POS and IT maintenance, compliance oversight, SOP implementation and execution, general oversight of security and safety controls.

- Understand and communicate to senior management the overall retail landscape in the market including direct and indirect competition, industry trends, etc.
- Establish and maintain structure and cadence of leadership communication
- Procure product from internal company cultivation and other vendors in the market by constantly staying up to date on product performance and needs
- Ensure effective inventory through coordination with the Operations team which includes communication of receipts and returns of product, ensuring proper execution of weekly and monthly inventories, ensuring accurate use and/or implementation of all inventory tools and processes
- Remain the resident expert on the POS system. Thoroughly understand the system in order to trouble-shoot it, teach it to others, etc.
- Manage all IT functions of all locations (Hardware, software, Internet, etc.). Trouble shoot, fix, and/or partner with customer support to resolve all issues.
- Work with the senior management and legal counsel to ensure constant compliance with all laws and regulations affiliated with Dispensary Operations.
- Ensure efficient implementation and execution of all SOPs in all buildings through audits, conference calls, hands-on training of the team. Identify opportunities for improvement of the SOPs when necessary.
- Manage all Security and Safety tools and processes including security cameras, pandemic prevention, loss prevention, etc.
- Ensure management of Supply needs by the Assistant Managers of Operations,, budget for necessary supplies, approve and closely monitor purchasing.
- Manage record retention by location as it pertains to state regulations.
- Manage all building/facility accounts and issues (AC, heating, plumbing, etc.)
- Other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications
- Cannabis retail leadership experience required. Additional experience in specialty retail is a plus.
- Highest level of integrity and honesty
- 3+ years of progressive cannabis retail and operations management experience
- Managed a team of at least 20 people in a retail setting
- Strong written and oral communication and business reporting skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated experience and abilities in project management
- Demonstrated experience and abilities in strategic planning
- Experience driving profitable results
- Strong knowledge of merchandising, human resources, schedule writing, and all retail functions
- Strong analytical, communication, problem solving, and presentation skills
- Proficient in understanding and presenting a business profit and loss analysis
- Available to work during operating hours and after hours for inventory or other required tasks.
- Motivated self-starter ready to help build something great
- Proficient in at least one cannabis Point-of-Sale software system, cannabis State Inventory Tracking System, and/or a cannabis marketing software system.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a criminal history background check.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, inventory management systems, security systems, etc..

Job Description:
Altus Colorado is an expanding cannabis edible wholesale manufacturing company that is currently seeking Packaging Associates to work in our production facility. Candidates will be responsible for performing routine tasks such as setup and breakdown of production rooms, coordinating and executing all packaging of edible products, keeping all packaging inventory stocked and organized, cleaning and organizing work stations, facility upkeep, operating and maintaining production equipment. Packaging Associates should be team-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, capable of following detailed directions while demonstrating forethought and initiative to maintain a positive work environment and willing to assist other team members as needed.
Responsibilities

Setup and breakdown of packaging and production rooms

Follow SOPs and company guidelines

Qualifications

Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work occasional overtime (able to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist height)
