We are hiring a Floor Manager to join our Santa Barbara Team. As Floor Manager, you will assume the role of peer mentor in our store with regards to talent development and employee mentorship.
You will model the way by leading, driving, inspiring, and coaching the team. You will train new team members, coach and develop current staff and lead the Team on the Sales Floor. You will also support Store Management and ensure operational efficiency at the Store and Delivery level.
In adherence to all compliance regulations governing the purchasing and selling of Cannabis and Non-Cannabis product, as the Floor Manager, you will partner with the General Manager to oversee all facets of policy and procedures and operational administrative duties in relation to our store.
Core Responsibilities:
Sales & Profitability
o Help drive store’s profitability by guiding team members in delivering a positive and friendly experience by engaging the customer through thoughtful conversation and exceptional service.
o Supports the scheduling of all day-to-day operations, tasks and selling initiatives to engage our consumer in an elevated experience.
o Supports the execution of designated in-store promotions and GWPs to support growth of business and customer engagement.
Managing the Environment
o Support the store to maximize sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise from receipt to sale.
o Coach the Store and Delivery Team to take initiative as leaders to oversee all levels of Customer service by setting daily goals and expectation to create a positive store environment.
o Exhibit excellent floor presence by training and coaching store team on customer standards, product placement and time management.
o Support the team by contributing to the maintenance of all product stock areas.
o Guides team to uphold company customer service standards.
Operations
o Support Store goals by training in Loss Prevention awareness and overseeing adherence to Loss Prevention practices when in store.
o Support the implementation and maintenance of all retail systems (POS, Menus, payroll etc) to deliver consistent service and efficiencies.
o Ensure compliance with all BCC, State and City regulations.
o Ensure compliance with company emergency and safety procedures to protect employees and customers from accidents and incidents.
o Ensure a neat, clean, and organized store environment; support the Store team by assisting in merchandising and display products as needed.
Interpersonal Skills and Ownership
o Communicates and coaches effectively to all levels.
o Develops partnerships to enable business success.
o Adapts to changes required by the business.
o Acts professionally and with integrity providing open, honest, and constructive feedback.
o Makes fast, smart decisions, takes initiative and calculated risks to improve personal and store performance.
o Accepts responsibility for performance and ensures all commitments are met.
Qualifications:
o Requires a minimum of 2- years’ experience as a Manager in a retail environment.
o B.A. preferred, but experience is paramount.
o Successful track record of achieving statistical results (sales, shrinkage).
o Experience working in a highly regulated businesses is desirable.
o Uses sound judgment when making decisions.
o Exhibits strong leadership skills amongst peers and have confidence communicating at the store level.
o Uphold excellent customer service skills and a service orientated culture.
o Previous Cannabis experience preferred.
o Must be 21+ years old.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time, exempt salaried position which reports to the General Manager.
- This position can require work on early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- This position may require you to travel to corporate offices as well as other store locations for training, learning and development.
