The Associate Regulatory Analyst is a member of the Regulatory Affairs team and is primarily responsible for producing city and county audit content. ARAs are given a large dose of training but expected to “hit the ground running” and develop production-ready content within their first month. - Draft summaries of regulations, questions for facility audits, action items to teach businesses to resolve non-compliance, and other work products associated with legal requirements for cannabis businesses.
- Monitor city and county ordinances for changes in cannabis rules that impact our content.
- Monitor state statutes, regulations, and bills to keep statewide market overview guides up-to-date.
Skills
- Strong reading comprehension. You must be able to review government regulations and quickly understand their intent and implications.
- Strong writing skills. You must be able to summarize government regulations in a clear and concise manner. You must be able to convert those regulations, which can be very complex, into simple and straightforward content for our software.
- High attention to detail. You will be expected to accurately communicate the regulatory expectations in a clear and concise manner.
Required/Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field. * J.D. advantage or J.D. preferred. Salary range for J.D. is $21-25 per hour.
- Experience with cannabis and/or regulatory compliance required.
- Work efficiently and cooperatively in an environment of multiple projects and priorities.
- Work well both independently and collaboratively. Analysts are expected to have their own computer and internet access.
- Analysts must be able to consistently deliver 40 hours per week, in our Denver office.
- Experience in any of the following types of companies or industries would be helpful: software, startup, cannabis, regulatory, compliance, audit, law, consulting.
