STERILIZATION/DISPENSARY ASSISTANT, School of Dental Medicine, Clinical Affairs

The responsibility of this position is to effectively follow sterilization protocols to process and maintain all dental instruments according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. The incumbent will provide clinical support services involving sterilization, preparation, distribution, collection, and storage of medical supplies and equipment. The incumbent will be required to decontaminate, clean, identify and assemble the entire range of dental instruments used throughout GSDM. This role also entitles maintaining all sterilizers and other dental processing equipment within central sterilization as needed. Within this role, the incumbent must provide great customer service and perform as a team player with students, faculty, and staff. The incumbent will also participate in preparing for all board exams administered at GSDM.
Required Skills
Must have a High School Diploma or a GED and a minimum of 1 - 3 year experience. Must have CRCST Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire. Monday to Friday 40 hours a week. Schedule will include working Saturdays and Sundays as needed.
