Senior Director Change Management
Position Objective:
The Senior Director Change Management will be a part of the Integration team and report to the Director of Integration. This position will play an integral role in the success of the Integration team by ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget and that adoption is optimal to drive benefit realization. This person will focus on the people side of change – including changes to processes, systems and technology, job roles, and organization structures. The primary responsibility of the Senior Director Change Management will be to implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption, improve utilization and minimize resistance.
As a member of the Integration team, this role will have responsibility for coaching and guiding project team members in defining and executing change management plans to develop and deliver stakeholder engagement, business impact assessments, transition plans, and training sessions and materials that ultimately drive change adoption.
Essential Functions:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for execution of change management deliverables and acting as the technical change management expert on designated project teams through all project phases. Provide strategic guidance on change management activities and solutions, including overall approach, plans for adoption, organizational needs and readiness assessments, training design and facilitation, and communications to increase employee awareness and adoption of IT and other initiatives (policies, procedures, structural changes)
- Maintain an understanding of change management initiatives across all Integration programs/projects; including status, timelines and potential issues/risks
- Engage with project team members and key stakeholders to understand organizational structure, business processes, and related roles and responsibilities to identify change potential, readiness, and resistance risks
- Partner with Integration Project Manager to develop meeting cadence to ensure change management initiatives are incorporated in definition of project scope and planning
- Maintain holistic view of the active and coming projects across multiple areas and update appropriate dashboards in a timely manner
- Work to drive faster adoption, improve utilization, and create greater proficiency in managing change initiatives and transitions that impact employees
- Manage development and execution of communications materials, such as fact sheets, job aids, instructional guides, web content, briefings, and presentations
- Conduct needs analysis, comparing current state to future state processes and procedures
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation strategies for overall change management goals
- Work in close collaboration with IT team to promote adoption of solutions, standards, and processes; develop change management strategy and roadmap to improve adoption of IT initiatives
- Establish key performance indicators to track execution, monitor progress against key change initiatives
- Direct delivery of project scope and requirements, using defined change management processes and templates
- Participate in the business process re-engineering discovery sessions to identify key change impacts and prepare related documentation
- Build relationships across the organization to establish yourself as a trusted partner with key stakeholders
- Lead follow up activities with the Integration team to identify best practices, lessons learned and change strategy enhancements
Knowledge and Other Required Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate is a flexible, detail-oriented, self-directed individual who has experience in implementing change management initiatives related to M&A transactions, and has a demonstrated ability to manage multiple, changing priorities in a dynamic work environment. In addition, the candidate will work well with all levels of executives, management and staff, both internally and externally while remaining sensitive to confidential matters.
5+ years experience in organizational change management, M&A transactions and integration (retail, grocery, and/or pharma industries required)
Preferred Experience and Qualifications: CCMP certification, or similar, a plus Lean Six Sigma certification or PMP certification a plus
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets Advanced PowerPoint Presentation, or similar
ERP applications and tools, or similar
Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)
Office environment, Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00 pm Evenings and Weekend hours as required
Local and distant travel as required
