Role & Responsibilities:
- The SHO Technician III position is responsible for the production of all solventless hash oil (SHO) products, for the training of all new team members within the SHO department, and to assist the Concentrates Supervisor in leading the SHO production department. In addition to their principal duties, the SHO Technician III position is expected to facilitate the required trainings for SHO Technicians I - II, and to maintain GMP standards for the solventless production areas as instructed by the Production Manager and Concentrates Supervisor.
Primary Duties (including, but not limited to):
- All primary duties of SHO Technicians level I & II.
- Facilitation of all training required for new team members within the SHO department. Following the initial training process, the SHO Technician III is also expected to assist the Production Manager & Concentrates Supervisor with the evaluation processes for all SHO Technicians level I - II (30/60/90 and annual evaluations).
- Data entry associated with batch processing, cleaning, maintenance, etc.
- Cleaning of the general working area associated with your shift
- Work well and effectively with fellow co-workers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision received: Production Manager & Concentrates Supervisor.
Supervision given: All SHO Technician I & IIs.
Evaluation process: 30, 60, & 90-day evaluations as well as annual reviews following this initial evaluation period.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications for education, training, and prior experience:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background screening for employment within the CA cannabis industry.
- Prior experience of 6+ months working within a SHO Technician II or similar position is required.
Preferred skills & knowledge:
- Any specific education or experience working with SHO production, general chemistry, within a lab environment, or performing essential oil extractions in another industry is preferred, but not required.
- Direct experience working in a laboratory, commercial kitchen, or similar GMP production setting.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain internal inventory records.
- Computer skills including cloud-based programs such as google sheets, docs, asana, etc.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical requirements:
- Requires single lifting ability of ≤50 lbs.
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands.
- Frequently crouching, stooping, bending, and reaching.
- Must work near cold surfaces and wear appropriate PPE.
- Must work in noisy & cold conditions with excess humidity.
- Stand for short/ high periods of time.
- Sit for short/ medium periods of time.
- Walk for short/high periods of time.
- Occasionally sit on the floor or at floor level.
- Handle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with this position.
Attendance & general performance expectations:
- 40 hrs. per week minimum, additional hrs. as needed by the production schedule.
