- The Packaging Technician I position is responsible for packaging and packaging assembly to produce a variety of cannabis vape cartridges, cannabis concentrates (live resin/live rosin), and cannabis edibles. In addition to their principal duties, the Packaging Technician I position is expected to be able to consistently package at a rate that will meet the established KPIs for each assigned packaging task, and to maintain GMP standards for all packaging areas as instructed by the Packaging Manager, Packaging Supervisor, and all Packaging Technician levels II – III.
Primary Duties (including, but not limited to):
- Packaging of vape cartridges:
- 510 thread platform
- AirGraft pod platform

- Assembling, packaging, and labeling of mastercase units for delivery to Distribution & Fulfillment.
- Packaging of concentrates:
- Live resin budder, HTE, HCE, diamonds, sauce, sugar, crumble, shatter, etc.
- Live rosin fresh press, cold cure batter, jam, etc.
- Tasks within concentrates packaging (varies depending on the product format and brand):
- Pre-packaging jar inspections and clean-out for quality control.
- Weighing out cannabis concentrates and packaging these weighed amounts into vials/jars.
- Jar inspections and capping.
- Labeling of jar lids with branding labels.
- Labeling of jar bases with compliance and strain labels.
- Shrink wrapping of packaged and labeled concentrate jars.
- Box assembly.

Qualifications:

A leading cannabis extraction company, is hiring a Destruction & Sanitation technician for their Lancaster. This is a Full-Time position in a high-volume, fast paced, production driven environment.

Role & Responsibilities:
- The Destruction & Sanitation Technician I position is responsible for destruction of regularly produced biomass generated from extraction/processing areas, destruction of general trash generated from packaging/processing areas, destruction of product to fulfill regulatory requirements, and the regular cleaning/sanitization of all production areas, offices, storage areas, etc. In addition to their principal duties, the Destruction & Sanitation Technician I position is expected to maintain GMP standards for all working areas as instructed by the leadership and managerial teams at Big Oil Co.
Primary Duties (including, but not limited to):
- Breaking down cardboard for use in the shredding process.
- Operation of shredding equipment to produce media for mixing with biomass.
- Mixing of spent biomass with appropriate media to render spent biomass unrecognizable as part of the destruction process.
- Collection and disposal of general trash throughout the production facility.
- Regular cleanings and sanitizations of the entire facility (production, office, break area, restrooms, etc.)
- Spill response to assist in cleanup of production areas as needed.
- Destruction of cannabis products that have failed testing regulations to maintain compliance.
- Completing daily/weekly laundry tasks for the facility.
- Work well and effectively with fellow co-workers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervision given: N/A
Evaluation process: 30, 60, & 90-day evaluations as well as annual reviews following this initial evaluation period.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications for education, training, and prior experience:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background screening for employment within the CA cannabis industry.
Preferred skills & knowledge:
- Any specific education or experience working within a housekeeping, janitorial, phyto/sanitation, or similar capacity is strongly preferred.
- Direct experience working in a laboratory, commercial kitchen, or similar GMP production setting.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain internal inventory records.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical requirements:
- Requires fast paced and repetitive work, the use of hands to disassemble boxes for destruction, frequently transporting large containers of trash (≤50 lbs), etc.
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands.
- Frequently crouching, stooping, bending, and reaching.
- Must work near cold surfaces and wear appropriate PPE.
- Must work in noisy & cold conditions with excess humidity.
- Stand for short/ high periods of time.
- Sit for short/ medium periods of time.
- Walk for short/high periods of time.
- Occasionally sit on the floor or at floor level.
- Handle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with this position.
