About the Job:
We are recruiting an experienced sales manager to help us grow our business. The main responsibilities will include making sales, helping build a sales team, tracking progress of the sales team and helping to scale the team. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE SUCCESSFULLY MANAGING AND GROWING A SALES TEAM IS A MUST. The sales calls you and your team are making will be a healthy mix of inbound leads, cold calls, and account follow ups. There'll be a 3 month trial period where compensation will be split between draw against commission, with $$ earned per meeting booked too. The end goal being we bring you on with salary + commission based on how those three months go. You'll have support from our entire team, free samples to send to prospective customers, CRM software to use, etc. You're also not competing in a flooded market fighting over pennies as these are our own products, which have been featured in High Times, Daily High Club, and are starting to be advertised on some of the largest cannabis social media accounts in the space. To be successful here, you need to be self-driven and have a background in sales as well as team management. Experience in the cannabis industry is definitely a plus, but is by no means necessary. The basics of what you need to know about the industry can easily be learned as well.
Sales Manager Responsibilities -
- Managing sales team.
- Helping with scaling and development of sales team.
- Closing Deals.
- Generating Leads.
- Reaching KPIs.
- Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered.
- Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Negotiating sales with prospective clients.
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
- Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
- Understanding and promoting company programs.
- Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.
- Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
- Maintaining client records.
- Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability.
Sales Manager Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in sales.
- Previous experience managing sales team
- Experience growing sales team in size
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience managing a sales team.
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
- Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Competency in email and CRM software.
- Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
