POSITION SUMMARY
Each Security Team Lead reports to the Director of Security and is responsible for process and procedure development, implementation and daily oversight of all duties and activities required therein to ensure a secure facility. The Security Team Leader will provide disciplined leadership in developing and promoting a company culture of security awareness.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Ensure facility and personnel are secure by:
- Patrolling property
- Monitoring surveillance equipment
- Inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points
- Permitting entry
- Initiating proper response when needed
- Plan, examine, analyze, and supervise security operations inclusive of security assets and personnel.
- Train all security personnel in security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Evaluate security personnel performance on a regular basis to maintain a highly ready and prepared team.
- Train, counsel, and discipline security personnel regarding company’s policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule contract security work hours and activities.
- Maintains relationship and initiate call for response when needed from local law enforcement and emergency agencies.
- Assist in preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; coordinating with local law enforcement to respond to any security issue.
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, incidents, and surveillance activities.
- Conduct investigations as necessary including interviewing witnesses, obtaining signatures, and providing report to senior management.
- Assist in preparation of emergency management team and contingency planning.
- Work closely with senior management to educate all company associates on security protocols and promote heightened security awareness.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must have previous experience in military, law enforcement, armed security or other related experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have the ability to obtain proper cannabis licensing
