Recommend technical alternatives and designs/design improvements, possess technical competence in an area of specialization and knowledge of related specialties.
Coordinate technical personnel drawn from multiple subject areas.
Deliver high quality Analytical Science services to our operating companies.
Perform product and material analysis on a wide range of sample types utilizing multiple techniques and instrumentation
Maintain and manage the appropriate documentation for Analytical Sciences to be compliant with Quality Systems and Records Management policies
Provide support to category leaders, senior scientists, product developers and factory personnel to achieve department and company initiatives
Develop solutions to complex technical problems where few precedents exist
Participate in scientific meetings both internal and external to maintain and expand scientific expertise
Participate on multi-functional teams representing Analytical Sciences
We want you to have:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or closely related field
Familiarity with analytical chemistry techniques and analysis such as; Vibrational Spectroscopy (FTIR, NIR, Raman etc.), Mass Spectrometry, X-Ray fluoresence, chemometrics, microscopy, and chromatography
1+ year of experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory
Experience working with tobacco and tobacco products preferred
Experience working in a regulated industry and familiarity with Quality Systems such as ISO 17025, or ISO 9001 desired
Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
