Role: Sales Director, North America

Talentas has been focused on providing Software Development, Maintenance & Support services, and product engineering services for enterprise ISVs for over 5 years. Enterprise ISV product engineering services focus on both vertical and horizontal services in retail, energy, healthcare, and cannabis industries, respectively.
The Sales Director contributes to every stage of the sales planning and execution of enterprise services including market/segment and competitor analysis, creating, reviewing, and refining sales plans, target account list, and sales pipeline. This role will create and own the sales plan and pipeline, review execution of sales plans, pipeline, and account plans to track progress on lead identification and pursuit, qualify opportunities, mobilize the teams for proposal development, and provide support in negotiations. The Sales Director will work closely with the Chairman, CEO, and lead generation team for achieving new enterprise sales targets.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a self-driven leader with proven track record in IT services sales, proactive pipeline generation, competency sales, solutions and accelerators presentations, point of view presentations, solution walkthrough, closing deals. The ability to build strong customer relationships and new business pipeline generation is key for a successful candidate.
- Responsible for net new client acquisition and revenue generation
- Primary focus on new sales pipeline creation and closing deals
- Responsible for Account Management and increasing the business with the existing clients
- Convert the existing leads to business opportunity
- Attending relevant events and presenting Talentas competencies in events and networking forums
- Achieve financial growth for product engineering services business unit
- Ability to sell Talentas accelerators and product lifecycle services offerings through a project and multi-year deals
- Ability to build relationships with C-level executives
- Build demand for new solution offerings, new service models
- Create core components for statements of work, RFIs/RFPs.
- Provide knowledge transfer to new projects including participation in initiation meetings, educating the staff through preparation meetings, and ensuring the team is prepared to successfully kick off the project

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, MBA, and at least 10+ years of IT experience at a senior level
- At least 5+ years of experience in selling IT services to Fortune 1000 companies
- Experience with retail, energy, healthcare, cannabis/agriculture, Transportation, customers
- Background in Software Engineering preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication, product demonstration, customer service, and presentation skills required.
- Intrinsically/self-motivated: must thrive in situations where given autonomy and responsibility to find solutions to problems with limited direction.
- Have a general business acumen to align solutions to business outcomes. Storytelling skills to share the why and how of what we do.
- Proven ability to communicate ideas and obtain buy-in with audiences at various technical and business levels

What You’ll Do
Lead and manage a highly engaged USA and Canadian sales team to achieve the company’s V/TO goals.Create & implement sales strategies focused on the value chain (consultants, constructors, and operators) as it pertains to Licensed Production of Cannabis and Hemp that align with company goals and growth objectives.Prepare the Commercial Sales division budget, and present it to the Leadership Team for approval.Develop and maintain the commercial sales process.Instill accountability in sales team performance, actions and Rocks attainment.Identify and support personal and professional development programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.Ensure technical selling ability with all of the commercial sales team.Identify sales hiring needs and drive the recruitment process.Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets.Demonstrate a Solution Leadership approach that recognizes him/herself as an authority in post-harvest solutions.Create long-term value through the identification and expansion of growth opportunities (customer/markets/partnerships).Strong cross-functional work (sales, marketing, customer success, etc.) to ensure the company’s goals are achieved.Establishing industry contacts (consultants, licensed producers executives, cultivation and processing) appropriate for each level.Ability to develop and implement growth opportunities within and between organizations.Monitor customer, market and competitor activities and provide feedback to the leadership team and other company functions to ensure alignment with other activities, including Product Innovation.Provide detailed 12-month rolling forecast sales forecast, create quota’s for team members and hold the team accountable for the quota.Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.Demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge of all products.Frequent North American travel to visit top accounts. A minimum of 150 days of travel is expected annually.Create a Demo and Trade Show strategy in conjunction with retail team.Develop/refine commercial sales training competencies across the team.Develop/monitor and adjust retail division KPI’s in alignment with overall sales strategy.
Who You Are And What You Need To Succeed
10+ years in senior sales management role(s); with a portion of experience from within the industry.Post-secondary education is a strong asset.Proven Business Development experience.4+ years of profit and loss responsibility.4+ years of managing and hiring a sales team of greater than 5 individuals.4+ years of SalesForce.com experience.Very good communication skills (oral, listening, written).People management and development skills.A high degree of integrity.A very likeable personality.Ability to build relationships and trust fast.A growth mindset - always learning and open to new ideas.Some technical knowledge/skills is required.
