About This Role
Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers.
The primary role of a Security Citizen is to protect the security of the premises - in particular the security of the people working and visiting onsite, and the security of the safe, high-quality product being grown and produced on the premises that will serve our customers across Michigan.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Support the identified safety team as the experts in Safety and Security including attending and supporting communication in biweekly Safety meetings
· Support the Safety Captain in responding to emergent alarms
· Identify internal and external security risks and complete a Daily Activity Report (DAR)
· Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized or disruptive persons
· Support HR investigations by locating and reviewing requested footage
· Support the enforcement of OSHA regulations
· Incident investigation response support
· Managing transportation, handling, and risks of chemicals
· Completing daily and monthly coat/bag checks for those who exit the facility
· Completing job hazard assessments on facility grounds
· This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast paced and lively work environment.
The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:
· Knowledge of leading best practices of loss prevention and security
· Understanding of security investigation principles, practices, and techniques
· Prior security, law enforcement or military experience
· A strong sense of duty and desire to protect
· Excellent communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
· Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
· Ability to learn and proficiently operate security system
· Working knowledge of PC hardware and software applications
· CPR/ First Aid Certified preferred
· Willing to work 40+ hours a week, when/if required
· Willing to forgo your home cannabis grow, if you have one, to avoid cross-contamination
· A passion for humanity and desire to change the social perception of cannabis
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand and walk.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a greenhouse environment (tolerance of heat & humidity)
- Able to perform moderate to arduous physical exertion including standing for prolonged periods, walking, running, and climbing of stairs or ladders.

Summary:
Theory Wellness operates state of the art cannabis cultivation and dispensing facilities in multiple states. We are seeking enthusiastic retail leader candidates to support the day-to-day retail operations in our recreational dispensaries.
Responsibilities will include:
- Functioning as a safety and security team member, you will deliver world-class service to our medical patients and adult use consumers
- Handling all guest services and relations as one of their first interactions to ensure they get the proper support during their visit
- Help handle all related selling and customer facing tasks with guests before they enter and while they are in the building
- Check and validate IDs for compliance, ensure every guest meets legal requirements to enter the building and buy cannabis related products
- Do hourly walks and checks in and around the building for safety and security related issues
- Report all incidents in a timely manner to management as required by policy
- Follow procedures and standards for all Theory systems and processes
- Drive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) adherence around service
- Ensuring compliance with all Cannabis Control Commission regulations
- Drive exemplary peer support and relationships within Theory to support company initiatives
- Other duties relating to TWI’s dispensary operations on an as needed basis

Requirements:
- At least six months experience on a point of sale system
