SUMMARY:
Bud & Mary’s Production Associate I assists in the processing of cannabis plant material and in the manufacturing of finished medical cannabis products. This position may also work other Bud & Mary’s teams at its medical cannabis manufacturing operation. The Production Associate I, using batch records and other written instructions, assists with processing cannabis plants for extraction, extracting cannabis oil, preparing bulk product mixes, finished product container filling, quality sampling, raw material reconciliation, and other manufacturing related tasks.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma required.
· Two (2) plus years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Assist with day-to-day operations in a large-scale medical cannabis manufacturing operation.
- Maintain accurate written records of production batch records and QC forms.[JC1]
· Assist the formulation team with bulk product mixing and preparation.
· Assist the formulation team with bottling/filling of finished medical cannabis products.
- Assist the operations team with completing packaging process for formulated medical cannabis products.
- Maintain a high attention to detail during repetitive tasks and communicate when something seems off based on experience and training.
- Maintain accurate daily activity records and operation logs as directed using designated software.
· Assist with managing the cleanliness and organization of all equipment present within the facility.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
· Assist with plant harvesting.
· Assist with reducing costs of goods sold and operating expenses.
· Assist with research and development projects.
· Comply with all company policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
· Facility maintenance and troubleshooting, as necessary.
· Assist with biomass processing as needed.
· Assist the operations team with labeling medical cannabis containers efficiently and accurately.
· Assist the operations team with delivery of medical cannabis products.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
· Must be able to explicitly follow written & verbal instructions.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent analytical abilities.
· Must be reliable and maintain good attendance.
· Must be team oriented.
· Strong project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
· High attention to detail. Ability to work effectively under time constraints as necessary.
· Good communication when things don’t go as planned.
· Proficient in English.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Experience with data entry in Microsoft Excel and other MS products as well as the ability to learn other software programs as needed.
· Ability to work occasional weekends.
PHYSICAL EFFORT NEEDED:
· Must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds, be on feet all day, work in hot and cold environments.
· Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, and lay down.
· Must be able to read and write numbers and letters.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
· Exposed to dust, dirt, mud, varying temperatures, varying humidity levels, varying light intensities, high decibel sounds, and some solvents.
· Occasional exposure to insects, pesticides, and plant growth regulators.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
· Lab Coat, safety shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, ear protection, various types of gloves and spraying equipment, and biosafety equipment.
TRAVEL:
· Some travel may be required for training purposes and for staying abreast of industry developments.
