Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing plant activities in our Coalinga facility. A successful candidate will be accountable for all aspects of the facility's performance. They will work to ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that's consistent with quality requirements, while maintaining a safe working environment. This role will direct and coordinate operations for the facility, as well as delegate authority to key supervisors in production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Production planning
- Create production schedules based off of production goals given with available labor
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Employee management
- Including, but not limited to scheduling, HR concerns, training, reviews, goals, etc.
- Maintaining facility and product quality standards
- Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports
- Tracking data and reporting KPIs
- Inventory management:
- Ensure that compliance regulations are met in regards to cannabis inventory control and auditing
- Ensure that all raw materials and product components are inventoried, purchased and used appropriately
- Control costs to achieve company budget goals
*Plant Manager Responsibilities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees and assisting with planning, assigning, and directing work; disciplinary action with employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides regular performance feedback and coaching to direct reports including reviews.
Qualifications

- Education: Associate's degree preferred
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company and partner companies
- At least two years of managerial experience is required. This includes but is not limited to: disciplinary actions, employee reviews, production/manufacturing planning (not required but preferred), ect.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Must be able to complete a live scan (background check) through the Coalinga Police Department
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to acquire a food handler’s card
