- Creating Case and Master Case packaging stickers and communicating with the warehouse regarding timeline for packaging inventory and fulfillment.
- Creating and organizing our barcode data system in GS1.
- Updating lot code data. Communicating this with the lab/ manufacturing for product testing.
- Creating systems and protocols to improve compliance - from manufacturing stage to marketing, wholesale to retail.
- Seeking innovative ways to implement best practices laterally

The Packaging Compliance Specialist (PCS) is responsible for creating accurate and compliant labels for packaging and shipping manifests for internal and wholesale deliveries. The PCS ensures our labels contain the information required to ensure applicable Federal, State and local regulations are met.
Responsibilities
脗路 Creates and prints accurate labels for the Packaging department using BarTender, or future software programs
脗路 Analyzes and interprets lab test results to ensure correct cannabinoid profile is presented
脗路 Organizes and saves labels and files in a manner that is easily located and accessible
脗路 Performs quality control label checks to ensure each label is correct before printing
脗路 Tracks label inventories and ensures packaging quotas are met
脗路 Communicates with Production Manager for daily priorities and tasks
脗路 Creates shipping manifest for internal and wholesale deliveries using Leaf Logix, Excel and Metrc
脗路 Ensures manifests are accurate and complete, compliant with state regulations and internal policies
脗路 Performs other duties as assigned in a timely and efficient manner
Qualifications
脗路 Meticulous attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high-quality product
脗路 Must be able to meet production goals within an established timeline
脗路 Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
脗路 Able to pass all background checks as mandated by Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
脗路 Must be comfortable with a high level of responsibility
脗路 Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Preferred Experience
脗路 Previous experience working with computer software such as BarTender, Excel, Leaf Logix, Metrc strongly preferred
脗路 Ability to accurately perform basic math
脗路 Familiarity with multiple types of printers
脗路 Experience in a high-volume production facility/supply chain environment
脗路 Experience working in a regulated environment
脗路 Experience in labeling rules and regulations
Working Conditions
The person in this position may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.
Physical Requirements
脗路 Sitting, standing and walking motion/movement will be required throughout the shift
脗路 Constantly operates a computer and other productivity machinery, such as computer printers, copy machine and calculator
脗路 Must be able to inspect and detect quality defects
脗路 The person in this position frequently communicates with staff regarding labeling expectations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
脗路 Occasional lifting, positioning or moving items up to 50 pounds
