About the Role
Under the direction of the Vice President of National Sales, the National Account Manager, Designate will work to improve the company market position through increased sales of assigned National Accounts. To help ensure success, participation in our 90 program is essential. Our 90 day National Account Manager Designate program will focus learning to best prepare you for future sales leadership roles, including: building a base understanding of our go-to-market structure, market development of our products; our customers, our dynamic selling environment, our cross functional teams, and getting you ready to lead your own team. This rigorous three month training program allows you to gain first-hand knowledge of what it takes to be successful by doing and in turn prepares you for future roles, which include selling and promoting the best brands in the category, making real-time decisions in a fast-paced and fun environment. It is expected that these experiences will build a foundation of competence in the designate program that encourages accelerated growth potential within the KushCo organization.
What you will do (Essential Functions)
- Participate in our 90 day National Account, Designate Program
- In partnership with management, engage in process reviews with salespeople to maximize communications and performance
- Collect feedback, as well as, data to determine program and training effectiveness
- Evaluate on-boarding and training programs and make revisions as necessary
- Grow existing accounts
- Become the territory's Subject Matter Expert (SME) on compliance requirements imposed by the applicable state agencies
- Sell stock products as well as sell and consult with customers on custom orders
- Survey the industry and target specific accounts by utilizing published regulatory databases, trade journals/magazines, and other media outlets
- Ensure CRM system is updated and orders are processed
- Meet and exceed sales quotas
- Build relationships with cannabis growers, processors and dispensaries

Who you are (Qualifications)

3-5 years of progressive sales and/or sales management history

Experience selling high volume/low price point items
- History of meeting and/or exceeding 7 figure quotas

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Strong time management skills

Strong attention to detail

Experience in Excel / Word / Outlook / PowerPoint

Experience with a CRM desired

Familiarity with NetSuite a plus

History of working successfully from a remote office

Experience utilizing sales support staff effectively
