JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking a Lead Facility Maintenance Technician. As the Lead Facility Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the facility is maintained in a satisfactory condition for all required production and manufacturing operations. The lead maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep of the facility and should have a variety of skills, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC certification. They will be tasked with directing other Facility Maintenance Technicians on proper procedures and repairs throughout the facility.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Assists with building inspections, procuring bids, building operations, leasing and projects, as needed
- Timely completion of work lists
- Check HVAC, door, interior / exterior lighting, roof and general premises on a routine schedule
- Maintain building systems including interior/exterior lighting, HVAC, thermostats, life safety and building security including fencing
- Repair mechanical equipment as directed
- Keep a log of maintenance performed
- Electrical including bulbs/ballast replacement, plumbing, painting and carpentry as required
- Have keys to every area, marked and organized and be knowledgeable of the various keys
- Patrol building exterior for garbage
- Maintain Landscaping vendor
- Snow/salt or other ground work as required (maintain snow plow vendor)
- Maintain HVAC contractor
- Maintain Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing contractors
- Maintain an inventory list for janitorial, mechanical and electrical supplies
- Move equipment, tools or supplies between properties as required
- Errands as required, including picking up supplies at various vendors as required
- Assist in roof maintenance repair work as needed
- Touch up painting and dry-wall patching as needed
- Miscellaneous trouble shooting and problem solving
- Monitor utility usage and be responsible for building energy management (including but not limited to) the building automation system
- Use protective hearing, eye-wear and shoes when necessary
- Properly mark store purchase receipts and submit packets bi-weekly
- Other duties as necessary
Agent Support and Management:
- Responsible for managing maintenance staff, schedules, processes, and inventory.
- Serves as a role-model and resource for maintenance staff concerning maintenance processes, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations.
- Responds to all maintenance questions, concerns, or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts.
- Responsible for delegating tasks to maintenance technicians in order to maintain a compliant and clean cultivation facility.
- Coordinates with department managers and supervisors to ensure timely completion of requests.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- 1-3 years of industrial building maintenance preferred
- Ability to read machine prints and perform machine repair
- An ability to work well under pressure
- Hands on experience in installation of piping systems (air, water, steam), industrial electrical installations and control circuits
- Relevant technical knowledge
- HVAC Certified (preferred)
- Experience in a production environment using mechanical, electrical and plumbing trouble-shooting skills; utility installations (electrical, steam, air, process piping) is a plus
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust and pollen due to the nature of working in an cultivation center.
- Must be able to drive a fork lift, car, van, and truck.
- Environment will consist of office, indoor grow production, warehouse or distribution environment, as well as out-door elements on a frequent basis.
- Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or plants up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
- Ability to perform the job duties in indoor and greenhouse climates of up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment

CORE JOB DUTIES
- Responsible for all Maintenance Technician duties, as well as assisting the Facility Maintenance Supervisor on a daily basis and providing department leadership in their absence
- Repair mechanical equipment as directed and perform Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures prior to servicing machines
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and tasks as assigned (e.g. landscaping, painting, carpentry, etc.)
- Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices and run diagnostic tests to ensure systems functionality
- Perform emergency repairs as needed
- Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues and troubleshoot as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
- 2-4 years of industrial/commercial building maintenance experience, preferred
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field, a plus
- Aptitude in using various hand and power tools, precision measurement tools
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices, read blueprints and instructions
- Ability to sit, stand and do repeat actions for 8 hours; ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work on ladders, roof tops with fall protection devices
- Willingness to work overtime
