Entry Level Cannabis Lab Technician - Seeking candidates to assume a position as an entry level cannabis Lab Technician in a new, state of the art, cannabis production facility.
A qualified candidate would have some experience in a laboratory environment. Computer skills and use of Excel will be a part of the job. A qualified applicant must have good communication skills and the ability to train on the job for general lab duties such as weighing and measuring, heating, mixing and storing based on a prescribed procedure. The Lab Technician will be responsible for assisting in product processing and formulation. The Lab Technician completes tasks assigned by the Lab Manager to operate lab equipment, monitor and maintain cleanliness and efficiency, and drives quality control while always being compliant. This individual must be able to multitask, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to interact with managers and supervisors to set manufacturing schedules and ensure proper execution of workflow tasks by other employees. Essential Functions:
- Operate laboratory, extraction, and manufacturing equipment
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control
- Assist with testing and calibrating lab equipment in preparation for specific tasks
- Perform quality control tests on ingredients, completed products, and product samples
- Work closely with logistics team to deliver the highest quality products, on-time, accurately, and compliantly
- Maintain accurate inventory of all products

- Create distilled, high purity concentrate medical marijuana for use in a variety of products including vape, edibles, topicals, and tinctures
- Execute the preparation and production of extracted products
- Execute proper labeling and storage of extracted products

Lab Technician:

The Lab Technician will report directly to the Lab Manager. The Lab Technician will be responsible for operating laboratory equipment under the direction of the Lab Manager to refine and extract cannabis materials in order to create live resin, sauce, diamonds, and distillates for sale. This individual will work safely to meet production goals, maintain a clean and organized workspace all while exceeding quality control standards. This position requires close attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic workspace, and the ability to work as part of a team. This position must adhere to Company safety policies and procedures as well as state regulations including but not limited to recordkeeping, inventory, and waste disposal procedures.
Essential Duties:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and measures for compliance with quality, health, safety, and regulatory requirements put in place by the company and state.
- Execute job properly and safely, keeping safety at the forefront of mind at all times. Remains responsible for containers and columns that are both empty and loaded, and performs movement of product without errors such as dropping, cracking, or anything that puts the product in danger.
- Prepare, maintain, and operate extraction equipment, including but not limited to closed-loop extraction system, wiped film distillation, ice water extraction.
- Prepare plant material to be extracted by stuffing socks and filling out traceability paperwork accordingly.
- Work with the team to ensure product integrity throughout the manufacturing process in compliance with brand standards and company policy and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, cleaning and organizing the workspace on a frequent basis.
- Clean, organize, and store extraction and related equipment.
- Maintain accountability and inventory for products within inventory software including but not limited to weighing, labeling, packaging, product logging, and recording of all measurable data to remain compliant with state and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
