Position:
This position will work in multiple processes in the production lab to create hemp-derived cannabinoid products. This role will be responsible for duties including distillation, reactions, analytical testing, and production of other products as needed. This role operates in a fast-paced environment to accomplish larger production goals with the rest of the team. Employee should be aware of, and able to maintain GMP regulations and handle food products in a sanitized workspace. Person must be highly motivated and capable of multitasking.
Duties:
- Effectively fulfill duties by GMP compliant standards
- Manage inventories by following the production plan and maintain accurate records
- Work efficiently in a team environment
- Carefully follow SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Handle sensitive glassware and solvents
- Identify and report dysfunctional equipment
- Solve or report issues relating to production efficiency
- Operate attentively and follow facility protocols and standards
- Maintain a proactive behavior around the manufacturing facility.
- Develop expertise in distillation, testing, and formulating methods of various cannabinoid compounds.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment. Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on associated equipment as required.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures.
- Perform in-process and post-process quality assurance sampling, testing, and visual inspections to ensure all products meets or exceeds Arvida Labs’ specifications, along with patient and customer expectations. Such quality assurance work shall include, but not limited to:
- Record and monitor process conditions to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures.
- Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking throughout our process.

The position of Distillation Tech requires the ability to understand and operate distillation systems for the manufacturing of distillate. The ability to identify when these systems are malfunctioning and then know how to troubleshoot them is critical. Personnel in this position will possess a thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process, the adeptness to respond to emergency situations in an appropriate manner, provide leadership, and serve as a positive role model for junior employees. A Distillation Tech must also provide input for Hazard Reviews, system engineering, and other projects. Because few individuals will be qualified to function in this capacity, personnel in this position must be on-call according to business needs or vacation and sick days for other operators.
Personnel in this position must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a strong team-oriented environment and to provide training as well as coordinate the work of others.
In addition, the position requires a basic understanding of the chemical properties being produced.
A focus on quality and attention-to-detail is a strong must.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. General industry experience preferably in a manufacturing , lab or chemistry environment. (Equivalent education or military experience may be substituted for industry experience.).2. Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets.3. Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks required by the job.4. Good comprehension of chemical properties and associated management techniques.5. Excellent interpersonal skills.6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.7. Demonstrate a high degree of safe work performance.8. Be proficient/computer literate on computer desktop operations (i.e. word documentation, spreadsheets, graph abilities, etc.).9. Must be able to set priorities appropriately and timely.10.
