Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Floor Lead to help oversee all retail operations at this location in coordination with the Assistant Manager and General Manager. The Sales Floor Lead will assist in managing personnel, inventory purchasing and tracking, sales goals, and the general day-to-day matters for every store in a given region. You will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement and maintain store goals, protocols, policies and procedures in accordance with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in purchasing, pricing, and sale of all inventory on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
- Communicate with and direct store employees.
- Budtend when needed.
- Adhere to and promote a culture of compliance as it pertains to state and company regulations.
- Assist and support staff training in accordance with company and state requirements across all locations in the responsible region, as well as assist other regional managers where applicable.
- Regularly communicate with and update higher levels of management.
Requirements
- Familiarity with MI Marijuana Regulatory Agency rules and regulations regarding dispensary management.
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have no prior major drug convictions
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Efficacy with technology and point of sale systems.
- Working knowledge of inventory and sales reports.
- 3+ of years’ experience in a retail management position.

Budtenders
The Woods is looking to fill a handful of budtender positions with experienced candidates. Previous budtender, server, bartender and retail sales experiences will be highly valued in our selection process.
Essential Functions:
- Budtenders are the face of our business and will be responsible for ensuring every customer is given the time and attention needed for the best customer experience possible. Budtenders are required to conduct business operations in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as with state regulatory standards. All positions report to the general manager of the dispensary.
Job Qualifications:
- Customer service and compliance is the top priority. Having a positive attitude with customers and co-workers. Contributes to overall dispensaries goals and meets or exceeds individual goals. Responsible for overall store cleanliness including restrooms, backroom and sales floor. Takes initiative to stay informed regarding new or existing products and is knowledgeable about their ingredients and benefits to better serve customers
Job Requirements & Preferences:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Prefer to have candidates with retail, restaurant or service-related experience
- Prefer a High School diploma
- Open availability including nights, weekends and most holidays
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Job Setting:
- Downtown Sault Ste Marie retail storefront working with customers and team
- Continuous mobility through the dispensary daily including but not limited to standing, kneeling, crouching throughout the shift
