Job Position:
The Sales Associate is a customer-focused position, responsible for ensuring customers are treated with compassion and understanding, as well as an ability to explain the potential benefits of each strain and type of medical marijuana.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a high-end customer service experience with focus centered on patient engagement and education while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and CommCan SOP’s
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the legal cannabis industry from medical use standpoint
- Must have awareness of current product availability with an ability to describe the production process behind each and every one of CommCan’s products
- Must maintain strict confidentiality handling and managing patient information
- Assist with the presentation of a well-stocked store front that is clean, safe, and secure ensuring a positive retail experience
- Must be able to conduct point-of-sales and order fulfillment accurately and efficiently
- Have a current understanding of trends and research in the cannabis industry and have the ability to help customers with up-to-date information
- Approach each and every patient interaction with a positive attitude, a welcoming tone of voice and effective communication skills that help validate the customers concerns and needs
- Be aware of state reporting system and compliance regulations and how that affects customer purchasing limits
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must pass extensive background check
- Must be fully vaccinated
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Two year’s experience in team based customer service focused retail environment
- Experience with point of sale systems and cash management with a focus on register accountability
- Attention to detail and able to follow instructions
- Cash management and reporting
- Point-of-sales experience

- Must have flexibility with the willingness to work nights, holidays, week-ends and 10 hour shifts

The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) is accepting resumes and applications for the position of Hemp Inspector.

The Hemp Inspector will play an important role in the certification and licensing of Industrial Hemp in Massachusetts. Primarily, the Hemp Inspector will be responsible for certification of crops, inspections and investigations, and regulation of MA Licensed Hemp Growers and Processors.
This position will require working in a variety of environments including farms, agricultural fields, industrial sites, etc. The Hemp Inspector will be responsible for collecting plant samples, recording data, conducting inspections, creating reports, and reviewing license applications. Work will require extensive travel in Massachusetts. The Hemp Inspector will work independently, and as part of a team. The Hemp Inspector will also interact with license holders and stakeholders regularly.
Job Summary:
- This position will enforce the laws, regulations, and policies involving the cultivation and processing of hemp and overlapping laws and regulations that impact the cultivation of marijuana.
- This position implements and enforces: M.G.L. 128 Section 116-123, M.G.L.c 132B, 7 CFR 990, and any other overlapping laws or regulations within M.G.L.c. 128.
- This position will consult with division management on the enforcement of rules and regulations relative to hemp.
- This position will provide education and outreach to stakeholders relative to the enforcement of pertinent laws and regulations.
- This position will be required to provide reports and summaries on the inspections and investigations that are conducted.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelors’ Degree or higher in Agronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Plant Pathology, Entomology, or experience in investigatory, law enforcement, regulatory work or related fields.
- Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally
- Field experience in a biological setting
- Experience enforcing rules and regulations.
- Ability to follow relevant standard operating procedures, policy guidelines, compliance documents and other documents
- Ability to synthesize knowledge of business, legal and policy guidelines regarding data practices, documents, and records management
- Ability to read, understand, and relay information relative to laws and regulations.
- Experience working with legal and administrative procedures sufficient to evaluate and solve problems and implement new procedures
- Must possess and maintain an active valid drivers’ license with an acceptable motor vehicle record subject to review
- Experience with or knowledge about Cannabis and how it is regulated in other states
- Has field experience in a biological setting
- Has experience enforcing rules and regulations
Qualifications

Applicants must have at least (A) one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, technical experience in pesticide regulation, control of pests, dissemination of technical guidance relative to the proper use of pesticides or environmental protection or management or, (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions: I. An Associate's degree or higher with a major in agriculture, forestry, environmental protection, chemistry, biology, environmental or sanitary engineering or related fields from a recognized college or university may be substituted for the required experience*.
- Education towards such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
Special Requirements: Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Based on assignment, eligibility for appointment as a special police officer under the provisions of Chapter 147 of the Massachusetts General Laws.
