Kaya Life is looking for a Patient Support Specialists (PSS) to work collaboratively with our Practice Managers, Cannabis Advisors and physicians to support patients. Patient Support Specialists serve as the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSS has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining our process to patients in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
The PSS demonstrates leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, skills, and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Under the direction of the practice manager, performs daily activities accurately and on time.

What You will do....
- Work part-time approximately 30 hours per week
- Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have a solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to navigate its’ programs
- Maintain working knowledge of State and Federal Medical Marijuana Laws
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, fellow teammates and the public in general.
- Answer and route incoming calls, as appropriate and take messages when necessary
- Responding to voicemail messages
- Greet incoming patients scheduled for appointments and walk-ins and verify on each visit that the patient registration information is current
- Update any changes and notify the Practice Manager of any walk-in patients
- Cross train with other support staff to ensure the practice’s routines are not backlogged or interrupted
- Capturing patient information
- Ensuring the smooth operation of the practice by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting on changes that have to be made
- Sending and receiving paperwork via Updox
- Ensuring that new patients are fully informed on what is needed for initial consultation, follow up, recertifications, and state renewal
- Contacting patients overdue for their recertifications and maintaining an organized running list of patients yet to recertify
- Running a square report daily to see which patients' certifications have expired
- Contacting patients that have paid for their appointments but haven’t scheduled yet
- Helping prep the daily sheet for the following day (turn on msg, ID, DX, etc.)
- Using Constant Contact to add patients into their contact group for their certification end date
- Using E-FORSCE to look up patients’ records and add documents into their chart so that the physician can see their OD risk score
- Entering patients into the state registry and assisting them in registering themselves
- Helping patients renew their certification using the OMMU
- Diffusing difficult patients and helping them to understand the value of Kaya Life care
- Checking the Yolee leads sheet for new leads
- Other job duties as assigned by the Practice Manager and Kaya Life leadership
What It Takes....
- Minimum 1 year in a Patient Centered environment
- Customer service in a service environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management abilities
- Being Tech Savvy (preferred)
- Experience working with the Google Suite
- Talent and Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- A Laptop with a strong WIFI connection
- A Smartphone
- Flexibility to work in any one of the three practices is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Our associates will be introducing, educating, and presenting CBD to customers. Having some knowledge about CBD or a background in the health industry is a plus but not required. WE Will Train!!!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Enthusiastically building and maintaining a long term relationship with our customers.
-With training you will be expected to be familiar with all of our products.
-Perform and process sales using a point of sale system
-Maintain the appearance, cleanliness and presentation of the store, products, signage, and displays.
-You will be a continuous learner about CBD / cannabinoids.
