The incumbent is accountable and responsible for all citrus harvest, pack and pool accounting, and affiliated grower reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create new Pool Status Reports, Lemon Sales Reports
- Perform all Month End and weekly reporting to CALGA, CDFA, and other Agencies
- Analyze Year end data to finalize reporting with CALGA, CDFA, and other Agencies
- Review Sales Data to discover missing charges and make the correcting entries in Sage
- Review work orders to discover discrepancies and make the correcting entries to balance the pools
- Close Import pools and update Import Program for Global Sourcing Manager
- Review Invoices and see if other departments have coded the invoice correctly
- Perform variance analysis on revenue accounts and grower payable
- Reconcile Receiving Report vs Wash Data
- Reconcile Receiving Report vs Grower Charges
- Audit Receiving report and notify contractors of missing invoices
- Audit the Grower Portal for Accuracy
- Create and Enter Harvest Accrual
- Create Outstanding Accounts Receivable report and regularly distribute to sales team when appropriate
- Setup new Suppliers in Sage and knowing what information is required from them
- Respond to Grower’s inquiries about their account and provide them reports when necessary
- Any other project assigned by Accounting Manager or management
EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a college degree, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three to Five years accounting experience, pool accounting preferable
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be computer literate and have an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office, accounting software, [preferably FAMOUS, Kirkey and/or Spokane
- Must have a complete understanding of accounting principles and concepts
- Must be able to sort through data and understand the information
- Must be able to collaborate with other individuals, functions, and departments

- Track weekly citrus sales, packing and juice handling, revenue, affiliated grower costs, and payables by pool
- Generate weekly reports to various organizations
- Close pools, pool close adjustments, and grower return analysis
- Review and identify discrepancies with wash, sample, and pack records
- Coordinate harvest and pack estimates between harvest and packinghouse managers
- Complete harvest and pack estimate reports for sales department
- Provide support to affiliated growers regarding pool reporting, block info., etc.
- Any other citrus harvest, pack and pool work on an as-needed basis or directed by management
- Any other project assigned by Accounting Manager or management

Color the world and bring excitement in the world of flowers. Support the breeding, grower, and product development staff in producing quality plant material for breeding, research trials, marketing, etc. While ensuring the facility is operating efficiently. This position will be responsible for crop culture, participate in executing an Integrated Pest Management program, be help to technicians, and staff.
Employee Relations
Engage with facility leadership and employees on all growing related topics by addressing and resolving issues promptly. Be an advocate and a resource for other growers and technicians.
Crop Culture
The Grower is responsible for all aspects of growing, including watering, fertilizing, spraying, PGR Application, preparing greenhouse and outdoor areas for crops, plant movement, plant grooming, etc. They will work in conjunction with Greenhouse Manager to implement growing protocols and schedules for the assigned areas including but not limited to: Managing optimum crop quality within the given areas. Collection and evaluation of EC/pH data for crops and adjusting fertilization program accordingly. Reviewing greenhouse settings such as temperatures, air humidity, and light levels and report needs to Greenhouse Manager.
Integrated Pest Management
Identify, track and report diseases, insect and crop problems and help determine a solution. Control pests and diseases pressures by scouting, weeding, and sanitization.
Head House
Plan and carry out the work in the head house in a timely manner to ensure that pots are filled in time for transplants and sowing. The grower is responsible for the organization of materials and keeping an accurate inventory of plastics and supplies.
Other responsibilities:
Preform cultural trials and experiments to evaluate possible improvements to the crop.
Be an example to a dedicated, knowledgeable growing team.
Present great communication skills and provide proactive supports.
Assist the Greenhouse Manager with crop production software (Picas).
Ensure phytosanitary procedures are implemented and followed.
Participate in event set up and take down as directed by the Greenhouse Manager.
Requirements
Possess or be willing to become a licensed California Pesticide License applicator (QAC, QAL).
Experience with maintaining an Integrated Pest Management program.
Read, write, and speak Spanish fluently highly desired.
Proficient in basic computer programs. Excel Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Point, etc. is a must.
A proven ability to work independently and preform work in accordance with Team, Facility, and Company goals.
Physical requirements associated with this position include all of the following:
- 100% of the time will be spent in plant growing within assigned areas facility wide.
- Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory.
- Ability to operate farm equipment .
- May require an adjusted work schedule (evenings and/or weekend hours) to meet deadlines or to access the company equipment.
- Spraying Chemicals while wearing protective equipment.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Agricultural/Farming Operation.
- Must be able to function within a normal business environment with regards to noise, odors, and temperature conditions.
- Non-smoking office and greenhouse/nursery environment.
- Good driving record/valid driver’s license when job duties require driving or the use of a company vehicle.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
