Overview of Position
The District Manager position at Native Sun Cannabis is responsible for:
- Ensuring that Dispensary Store Managers have properly trained staff and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
- Source, interview, hire and train employees and management.
- Provide feedback on performance regularly, issuing individual development plans, coaching, and disciplinary action, and recommended actions for improvement and growth.
- Executing well-thought-out approaches to problem-solving and designing short-term solutions while partnering with your supervisor and team members to design the long-term solution.
- Execute against established KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) to generate measurable results against the company and brand-specific initiatives.
- Deliver regular updates on activation execution, local sales trends, and opportunities.
- Monitor and report on competitors' activities, key tools, and success stories.
- Work within established standards of performance and budgetary guidelines. Drive sales, profitability, manage labor and costs. Gather analytics data to report to the VP on how to better manage profit and loss.
- Daily management of retail leadership teams and operations activity in the market. Regularly visit all locations to monitor the execution of key initiatives and to work directly with the teams. Oversee, direct, schedule, and assign tasks as needed to GMs and AGMs
- Ensure compliance in all retail activity including consistency in inventory management, people development, standard operating procedures, and patient/customer service.
- Foster a workplace for the retail teams that upholds standards of service and care. Maintaining a professional work environment that drives performance.
- Mentor, motivate, elevate, and inspire team members to be knowledgeable about the highest quality cannabis product we offer, extraordinary support and service, and expertise. Oversee and conduct necessary training.
- Provide support to General Managers and assist with initiatives, develop, and implement strategies designed to achieve sales goals.
- Monitor marketing and inventory strategies to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance standards are met.
- Understand, adhere, remain informed and follow through on all state regulatory cannabis policies and procedures and changes. Ensure GMs and stores maintain compliance with all regulations. Comply with all standard operating procedures
- Assist with new store openings.
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned.

- Knowledge and understanding of profit and loss statement and store Key Performance Indicators to make commercial decisions based on sound financial judgment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups of varying size
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to use good judgment and make strong independent decisions
- Demonstrate an inspirational attitude that contributes to a positive team environment
- Ability to travel 75% of the time to all stores within designated district and in some cases with limited notice
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- 10+ years of previous Sales/Management experience.
- 5+ years of previous multi-Unit experience.
- Demonstration of cross-discipline execution of brand and marketing strategy
- Ability to interpret, organize and visualize data
- Dynamic, creative, and passionate about brand development and innovative marketing
- Knowledge and experience in the cannabis industry, but not required
- Must have a valid driver's license and must be able to drive to other Native Sun Cannabis locations
- Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Driver’s License and Access to Reliable transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

- Greet and direct customers

- Cross-sell products
- Ensure racks are fully stocked
- Manage returns of merchandise
- Coordinate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
- Inform customers about discounts and special offers
- Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Basic math skills
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- High school degree
- BSc in Marketing or related field is a plus
- Experience in Cannabis is a plus but not required

Order Fulfillment Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for work related to order fulfillment including but not limited to:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the legal cannabis industry and regulations from a medical and adult use standpoint.
- Fulfill orders from the dispensary storefront in a timely manner in a high paced environment.
- Track online customer orders through our online portal/POS system
- Maintain awareness of current product availability.
- Maintain awareness of state reporting systems and compliance regulations in regards to customer purchase limits.
- Responsible for manifesting returned items in compliance with MA state regulations.
- Manage storefront delivery process.
- Manage inventory reporting due to state regulations.
- Assists with the presentation of a well stocked storefront and fulfillment area that is clean, compliant, and safe ensuring a positive retail experience.
- Complete any other duties assigned in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain extensive knowledge about cannabis and current industry trends and research studies.
