Store Lead Role and Responsibilities
- Acts with integrity and honesty while actively promoting the culture and values of the company;
- Provides our patients with the highest standard of excellence in a buying experience;
- Ability to anticipate customer and store needs by assessing the store and customers for signals;
- Maintains a professional demeanor during periods of high volume or stressful situations and to set a positive example for the shift team;
- Ability to monitor changes in team or store morale and or performance, and communicating to the Store Manager when necessary;
- Ensures that the budbar and sales floor are properly stocked;
- Maintains and updates online and in-store menus throughout the day;
- Performs all POS/Inventory System duties, front and back of store functions including register opening and closing procedures, ensuring cash handling procedures are adhered to and is accountable for store cash during his or her shift;
- Assists Store Manager in maintaining proper budbar coverage and staff schedules ensuring that the store maintains adequate customer service standards and staff take meal and scheduled breaks;
- Assists Store Manager and Assistant Manager in planning and executing all sales promotions effectively and efficiently;
- Acts like a Role Model and actively sets an example for staff and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed;
- Provides feedback to Store Manager on team performance during his or her shift;
- Responsible for receiving and responding to internal communication;
- Attending regular mandatory training classes; and other tasks and duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Qualifications, Preferred Skills, and Education Requirements
- Solid organizational and communication skills, the Assistant Store Manager must be fully competent in all aspects of the store, including but not limited to making store schedules, compliance, interviewing, training new employees, inventory control, loss prevention, etc.
- Basic Microsoft Office, Point of Sale software, cash management and banking knowledge is required.
- Strong attention to detail and must have a team-player mentality.
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and group situations to customers,
- Employees and vendors while maintaining a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to cultivate long-term customer and vendor relationships.
- Ability to deal with problems and stressful situations and resolve in a professional manner.
- Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations by supervising store at a minimum of 5 full shifts per week, including weekend, evening, graveyard, and holiday shifts.
- BA/BS degree preferred, or 2 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree preferred.
- 2+ years of management experience including at least 1 year in a retail store environment preferred.

Assistant Store Manager Role and Responsibilities
- Acts with integrity and honesty while actively promoting the culture and values of the company;
- Supervise store accounting, cash and recordkeeping. This includes, deposits, banking and checking, cash inflow and outflows, manage accounts payables and purchases, and sales.
- Train, develop and supervise staff including hiring and termination, ongoing training and discipline, scheduling and timecards, employee records and updating policies and procedures as necessary. This includes scheduling and managing employee work hours, payroll, vacation requests and store hours; Conducting and overseeing the training of all new employees as well as the re-training of existing employees; Motivating employees to meet and exceed sales and performance goals; and administering employee evaluations.
- Manage Inventory including adhering to policies and producers with respect to loss prevention, ensuring data entry into POS/Inventory system, and physical inventory count.
- Coordinate with Corporate Managers regarding legal, labor, tax and other reporting requirements including State, Board of Equalization, City and IRS filings which includes month and yearly tax reporting and payments and renewal of Business Registration and Permits. This includes attending public hearings for permit renewals, implementation of new city and or state regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
