Cookies Los Angeles in Maywood, CA, under the operation of Operators Only, is looking for trimmers!
We are a globally recognized cannabis brand, offering trendsetting cannabis products that start with our indoor and outdoor farms and end up on our Cookies retail shelves.
Cookies began with two visionary founders: grow expert Jai, and entrepreneur Berner, whose Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) remains one of the most sought-after cannabis strains in the world. From the earliest days in a San Francisco garage to global growth, our goal has remained the same: authenticity and innovative genetics.
You will be responsible for pulling the dried cannabis from the dry rooms and bring the stemmed cannabis to the trim floor.
At this point you will destem or buck the cannabis separating the buds from the stalks and placing the buds into predetermined bins.
Once you have completed this you will clean the tables and sweep the floor in preparation for the trimming process to begin.
All trimmers will pull raw flower buds from the same bin until that bin is empty before moving on to other bins.
In trimming it is important to break up large buds into smaller ones if necessary. Once this is complete, you will trim the fan leaves from the buds being careful not to trim into the buds.
You are expected to trim at least one pound, 454 grams of cannabis per daily shift. If you fail to meet this number, you could face disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Your trimmed flower bins will be collected throughout the day and inspected / weighed by the postproduction manager and your daily numbers will be posted on a report the following day.
If the product is to be packaged for sale, you will be issued a scale that has been calibrated to weigh out the amount that the packing calls for. This process will not happen with every batch that is trimmed.
At the end of every day, you will clean the tables and sweep the floor in preparation for the next day.
