ROLE SUMMARY:
Golden Bloom Pharms is looking for a talented Laboratory Director to assemble and lead a new team of professionals in our modern lab facility. The candidate must be a motivated/self-starter who will be responsible for supervising analytical chemists and managing the day to day operations of an active cannabis testing laboratory. The Laboratory Director will actively coordinate with other Management Team members to ensure the highest level of efficiency by prioritizing timely and accurate results to customers while maintaining compliance with all applicable procedures and regulations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience with Laboratory ISO 17025 Certification
- Responsible for leading the ISO Certification process
- Responsible for maintaining ISO Certification
- Responsible for developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods for various products.
- Establish and maintain all standard operating procedures for the Analytical Laboratory.
- Direct, train and supervise the analytical chemists work.
- Manage all automated analytical testing procedures and analytical data retrieval systems of the Analytical Laboratory.
- Responsible for all Quality Systems
- Oversee all Analytical/Regulatory compliance of the Analytical Laboratory
- Responsible for review and maintenance of all data generated by the Analytical Laboratory
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. or Master鈥檚 degree in Chemistry with a minimum of five (5) years of laboratory management experience required.
- Experience in analytical chemistry with a focus on Cannabis testing required.
- Managerial experience in Regulatory Compliance and Quality Systems required.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation including but not limited to HPLCs, HPLC MS, GCs, GC MS, ICP and ICP MS Analyzers.
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to adapt rapidly to an evolving industry;
- High level of organization and multitasking;
- Extreme attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment;

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
路 Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
路 Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
路 Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
路 Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
路 Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
WORK SCHEDULE:
40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
