Operations Director
Job Title: Operations Director
Department: Cultivation
Reports to: Facilities Manager
FLSA Status: Regular- Exempt

ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a hands-on Operations Director with strong management, and production experience preferably in the pharmaceutical, food, beverage, or cannabis industries to manage processing operations at our cultivation and processing centers. The Operations Director will lead and drive all aspects of the cannabis cultivation and processing into patient safe, high quality, and effective dry bud, medicinal cannabis oils and other related products for ingestion, inhalation, or topical application by registered patients.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage the people and processing, and warehousing/packaging.
· Ensuring all products are produced in a safe environment for our employees while adhering to all governmental regulations for this industry.
· Ensuring all products are safe and effective for patient use. Develop and enforce proper product and work-in-process tracking, movement, product security and compliance with FDA , OSHA regulations, and applicable laboratory procedures.
· Work closely with Cultivation Director and Director of Production to implement best practices, drive continuous improvement and ensure SOPs are followed in daily production processes
· Lead and drive effective efficiency improvement initiatives in processing, packaging, and warehousing.
· Work closely with company dispensaries and the wholesale sales team to manage product supply, the operations, and our supply chain to ensure timely delivery of products. Close communication and coordination with the patient facing side of our business and our commercial team is of paramount importance.
· Work closely with Facilities Manager to implement facility modifications and upgrades required for efficient production capacity
· Identify, lead, and develop talent to maximize individual, team, and organizational effectiveness to meet company goals.
· Instill production mindset in the culture.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· A minimum of 5 – 7 years of proven manufacturing management and leadership experience preferably within the pharmaceutical, food, or beverage industries, Cannabis industry experience is a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing related discipline: Engineering, Sciences or Operations preferred. Degrees in other disciplines are acceptable in conjunction with suitable experience and accomplishment.
· Successful candidates will have proven experience and success in a pharmaceutical, food, or beverage processing and packaging environment demonstrating a high attention to detail, organization skills, and excellent communication skills to all parts of the organization.
· Possess the financial acumen to manage, measure, and improve the operations effectiveness and profitability.
· Demonstrated success in leading manufacturing operations to achieve improved performance and profitability.
· Demonstrated knowledge on managing and improving food safety, employee safety, quality, and packaging for consumers.
· Strong communication skills to every level of the organization
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Management
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
· Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
· Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
· Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
· Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
WORK SCHEDULE:
40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Golden Bloom Pharms is looking for a talented Laboratory Director to assemble and lead a new team of professionals in our modern lab facility. The candidate must be a motivated/self-starter who will be responsible for supervising analytical chemists and managing the day to day operations of an active cannabis testing laboratory. The Laboratory Director will actively coordinate with other Management Team members to ensure the highest level of efficiency by prioritizing timely and accurate results to customers while maintaining compliance with all applicable procedures and regulations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience with Laboratory ISO 17025 Certification
- Responsible for leading the ISO Certification process
- Responsible for maintaining ISO Certification
- Responsible for developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods for various products.
- Establish and maintain all standard operating procedures for the Analytical Laboratory.
- Direct, train and supervise the analytical chemists work.
- Manage all automated analytical testing procedures and analytical data retrieval systems of the Analytical Laboratory.
- Responsible for all Quality Systems
- Oversee all Analytical/Regulatory compliance of the Analytical Laboratory
- Responsible for review and maintenance of all data generated by the Analytical Laboratory
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Chemistry with a minimum of five (5) years of laboratory management experience required.
- Experience in analytical chemistry with a focus on Cannabis testing required.
- Managerial experience in Regulatory Compliance and Quality Systems required.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation including but not limited to HPLCs, HPLC MS, GCs, GC MS, ICP and ICP MS Analyzers.
