What will you do? As a Cultivation Team Member (Field & Crop Care) you will be a crucial component of the seed to flower process that will be highly impacted and dependent on the proper fertilization, irrigation and crop care executed by this role.
Taiana’s Cultivation Team Member is responsible for the day to day implementation of all agricultural practices needed for the healthy development of the crop life cycle to harvest; supports daily agricultural practices to ensure the standard of nutrition that are individual and unique according to the soil, the strain, the growing phase of the plant and many other factors; take readings of parameters like salinity, pH, soil moisture, soil temperature and any other key metrics; ensure the irrigation system operates in optimum conditions; support soil preparation; assist the Cultivation Manager in special projects; ensure that standards are met in accordance with parameters accordance with Taiana SOP’s.
In simple terms, you are a key contributor to the growth of a beautiful and healthy Lajas Valley sun kissed flower.

Responsibilities:
- Executes daily field and crop care activities assigned by priority level.
- Assists in the soil and nutrient management: soil testing, analysis and amendments.
- Assist in the implementation of the crop nutrient plan.
- Completes irrigation tasks according to the irrigation schedule.
- Supports the maintenance and upkeep of department equipment.
- Enters daily crop data and key observations to the enterprise resource planning system.
- Operates farming equipment as needed.
- Monitors and maintains department inventory of fertilizers, irrigation components and special equipment, replacements, and others.
- Conducts repairs and maintenance of the irrigation, plumbing and pump system.
- Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality.
- Actively communicates with Team Leader and other team members.
- Models positive interpersonal and team working skills.
- Executes responsibilities in adherence to federal and local Puerto Rico cannabis rules and regulations, as well as policies and procedures set forth by Taiana management team.
- Collaborates and participates in special team projects as needed.
Skills & Experience:
Requirements
- Cannabis cultivation experience is not required.
- Able to obtain or already possess an Occupational Cannabis License with Puerto Rico Department of Health https://licenciacannabis.salud.gov.pr/.
- Minimum 21 years of age per Puerto Rico regulations.
- Basic proficiency with computers, smartphones or tablets.
- Able to work under exposure to outdoor conditions in tropical weather conditions: sun, high humidity, heat index, occasional wind gusts, pollen, and dust.
- Positive attitude that supports a team environment, collaboration, and respect.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Agronomy (Crop Science, Plant Science, or Horticulture) -OR- 1-2 years of hands-on cannabis agriculture experience.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

Tai Ana - "Good Flower" in the language of the indigenous residents of the Caribbean islands - serves patients in the state-legal Puerto Rico cannabis industry by providing them with high-quality “Good Flower" based products that will meet their needs and improve their health and general wellbeing.
The Director of People and Culture (DPC) is a key member of Tai Ana’s management team, and is a partner, mentor, and, most importantly, an advocate for all team members. The DPC will be Tai Ana’s leader for all HR-centered activities. As such, he or she must have the credibility, know-how, and confidence to, together with other members of the executive team, build the initial infrastructure and processes for this strategic function of our organization and then build upon that foundation.
The DPC is responsible for directing all of the people functions of the organization in accordance with the policies and practices of the company, cultivating and overseeing the Company Culture, ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations. The DPC will also be responsible for strategic Human Resource planning and Organizational Development practices and policies. Owning the HR function, the DPC will report directly to the leadership team and have a seat at the table.
He/she will ensure that Tai Ana provides best in class workforce training, including the deployment and administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and providing all managers with the tools, support, and clear policies that they need to succeed. Second, he/she will hold all other team members accountable for building and maintaining Tai Ana’s Culture. The DPC will partner with other managers within Tia Ana in the areas of recruiting and personal problem resolution by providing the tools and training needed to succeed, including strategizing, developing, and deploying targeted talent and organizational initiatives that support Tai Ana’s growth.
Responsibilities:
· Work with other managers to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal government regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, ensuring accountability for the same among all staff.
· Collaborate with the executive team to develop, deploy, and update all employee policies, serving as the in-house subject matter expert, aided by outside labor law counsel. Chief amongst these will be meeting Tai Ana’s strategic objective of setting the standard for diversity and inclusion within our industry.
· Collaborate with other subject matter experts (compliance, horticulture, manufacturing, packaging) to create and deliver effective training content to all staff.
· Drive improvements in safety, efficiency, and compliance to enhance Tai Ana’s position as an employer of choice within the Cannabis Industry.
· Champion the use of technology (e.g., mobile-ready websites with secure log-on) and gamification (e.g., points and other incentives) to maximize adoption, participation, and increase efficiency.
· Standardize and provide training to managers to enable them to proactively manage the employee life cycle (e.g., onboarding, training, performance review, counseling, conflict resolution, and exit interviews).
· Provide coaching, especially to early career and mid-level managers, to empower them to recruit and develop talent effectively, and to identify, minimize, and resolve workplace conflicts.
· Work closely with outside counsel and serving as the primary point of contact for escalating workplace issues.
· Solicit feedback from team members, communicate feedback to management, and provide and encourage workplace recognition, including the organization of team member events.
· Develop, implement, and oversee regular employee surveys to identify opportunities and solve issues as quickly as possible.
· Serve as the point of contact for team members regarding compensation and benefits, referring to existing third-party resources.

Responsibilities:

Requirements
· Minimum of a BA, ideally with an MBA/CPA or related degree.
· At least 7 years of overall professional experience; ideally five-plus years of broad financial and operations management experience.
· Has had experience with the final responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting, and audit coordination.
· Ability to translate financial concepts to – and to effectively collaborate with -- colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds.
· Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; knowledge of accounting and reporting software.
· Commitment to training programs that maximize individual and organization goals across the organization including best practices.
