Job Summary
As the Inventory/Compliance Lead, this position is responsible for managing the accuracy and efficiency of all operational inventory and Compliance. This position is responsible for working closely with managers and other employees to ensure proper procurement, documentation, organization, and the timely distribution of all inventory items. Maintaining all the digital inventory and asset databases, also ensuring compliance with Metrc and CRA rules and regulations pertaining to inventory tagging and reporting.
Responsibilities and Duties
- The primary function of this position is to control inventory costs and quantities for all business centers
- Work with managers to set logical inventory levels, safety stock and reorder points
- Efficiently manage inventory levels, including seasonal safety stock
- Work with managers to establish procurement guidelines and consolidate vendors
- Procurement and reordering of goods and products
- Responsible for ensuring all items are properly entered in our inventory control database
- Ensuring all Points of Sale have accurate Products, COGS, Sale Prices, and inventory, COA’s

- Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments

- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules

- Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
- Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored
- Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
- Works with sales team to insure inventory levels match sales forecast, COA’s are accurate, and SKUs are captured in Metrc.

- Previous experience with inventory control / management.
- Disciplined maintenance of all purchasing, transfer, and other inventory control documentation.
- Highly organized, preferred experience with 5S workplace organization.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check.
