The Public Health Program Associate is an entry-level position within Missouri’s Division of Cannabis Regulation, which was established to implement the recently passed Amendment 3 to Article XIV of the Missouri Constitution. Reporting directly to the Individual Licensing Unit Coordinator, this position will be part of the front line team that represents the Section for Patient and Application Services, and the Division, by serving as an integral member in a collaborative team environments. This position will exercise adaptability, discernment and significant independence while also collaborating across the unit and section. This is an exciting opportunity to implement an important initiative from the ground-up in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do:
- Daily processing of patient and individual license applications through the secure registration system in accordance with rule and law requirements.
- Communicating with applicants and general inquiries about the program received through the call center and Division general intake email. Includes regular call center shifts to field general program inquiries, acts as the front line of public contact for the division.
- Follows set SMART goals to measure progress; consistently follows set standards.
- Works with unit coordinator to implement standard policy and procedures in alignment with current rule and law; assists in identifying opportunities for program development through handling daily workload; providing feedback from both daily workload and intake of public inquiries to inform supervisory staff.
- Develop detailed understanding and working knowledge of of Article XIV, 19 CSR 30-95 and the associated rules and policies that govern the program.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with the public and other partners while maintaining a high-level of service.
- Exceptional skills within Microsoft Office, Genesys call center software and web-based application programs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage changes while maintaining accuracy and achieving results.
- Call center experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependability and accountability demonstrated through consistent attendance and performance.
