OVERVIEW
Position Summary
These employees will be tasked with the duties and responsibilities of physically harvesting plants from designated rooms and prepping them for the drying process. These employees are responsible to properly maintain the quality of the product during the harvesting process and transporting process to prevent any amount of flowers to break off and become extraction product.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cut down take plants over to the dry room to be weighed and documented
- Remove all fan leaves from the plants per company operating procedures
- Record the weight of fan leaf waste and weight of plant after removing the fan leaves
- Communicate with the Processing Team and work fluidly to maintain cadence of having plants prepped for the Processing Team to hang the plants for drying in the designated area
- Properly maintain company procedure to ensure the product quality during the harvest process and transporting between rooms
Required Skills
- Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the state; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and laws is appreciated and commendable
- Fundamental knowledge, as well as the ability to be taught and guided in areas related to harvesting, drying, trimming and curing
- Skill in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed

Horticulture Technician
Position Summary
The Horticulture Technician position will work with the Cultivation, Operations, and R&D Departments at FarmaceuticalRX as we strive to continuously improve the processes and methods we use to cultivate medical cannabis. The Horticulture Technician will be responsible for basic plant maintenance and corresponding data collection to inform decision making within the Cultivation Department. The Horticultural Technician will assist in generating data to inform all FRX Cultivation facilities of best plant care techniques, assist in evaluation of new equipment and processes, and work with the team to introduce new concepts and equipment into production when appropriate. Horticulture Technicians will be responsible for duties corresponding to all aspects of Cultivation including Propagation, Vegetation, Flowering, Integrated Pest Management, Cultivation Technology, Employee Education and Data Presentation. Horticultural Technicians, from time to time, will also be responsible for assisting the Cultivation Department as necessary.
Job Duties/Essential Functions
· Learn and understand FarmaceuticalRX’s living soil growing method in each phase of plant growth (cloning or germination, vegetation, and flowering)
· Provide resources, training, and procedures to collect appropriate data related to plant health and plant care including but not limited to, watering, feeding, environmental controls, soil analysis, etc.
· Work with the Operations, Cultivation, and R&D teams to evaluate data related to plant care in order to develop and implement process improvements where appropriate
· Contribute to standardizing operational practices where appropriate and work with Cultivation Team leadership to train employees on those methods
· Utilize a basic understanding of botany, agriculture, and chemistry to inform decision making within the company, including but not limited to, measures and processes to prevent effects negative to plant health, diagnose any potential issues or deficits with plant health, create treatment plans should any health issues arise
· Assist the Cultivation team in developing training for employees in the department to increase their general knowledge base and ability to care for plants
· Work with the Operations and Cultivation Teams to evaluate equipment to be used for the care and maintenance of the plants, such as lighting, sensors, measurement devices, equipment to automate processes, etc.
· Assist with plant care in the Cultivation Department when necessary and when time allows
· Additional Duties as assigned by senior management

Position Overview
Horticultural Technicians (HT) will be responsible for efficiently deleafing and pruning cannabis plants to ensure the highest-quality product that is compliant for processing or sale. This position will also assist in defoliating plant material harvest and transporting plants into the dry cure room in support of the cultivation team in the preparation of the dry/cure phase of the flower as well as assisting the cultivation team with routine labor duties. This will be accomplished by performing various tasks in the cultivation area. This position will require the removal of leaves and transporting plants from the flower room to drying room efficiently all while ensuring the integrity of the plant is intact. HT's will follow all company policies and procedures and be responsible for ensuring flower rooms meet the Curio Wellness expectation and cGMP standards of cleanliness and organization before, during, and after harvest.
Responsibilities
- Preparing clone trays, Soaking and leaching rock wool, moving plants, trellising tables, keeping cultivation areas clean, mopping, washing down tables and rooms post-harvest, defoliation, trimming, and waste disposal. In addition to; Cleaning and sanitation, transplanting, transporting plants, and harvesting
- Responsible for approaching each branch of the plant to ensure all fan leaves that restrict airflow to the flower are removed
- Responsible for the cutting down of the plant at the base of the pot after the de-fanning phase
- Responsible for organizing the plants by strain and room, labeling the strain after harvest and ensuring the Metric tag of the plant is intact with the plant after being
- Assist with transporting the plants from the flower room to Dry Cure rooms to which they are assigned
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Hand trim sugar leaves from medical cannabis using shears, scissors, etc.
- Work in a quick and efficient manner
- Maintain a culture of professionalism and service
- Ensure daily compliance with policies including, but not limited to, state compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of commercial greenhouse or nursery experience
- Direct experience of cannabis industry or general knowledge of Commercial Cultivation
