Job Title: Field Marketing Specialist
Reports to: Marketing Manager

The Field Marketing Specialist is a year-round, full-time position at Berkshire Welco/The Pass reporting to the
Marketing Manager and working closely with the marketing and wholesale teams. The Field Marketing Specialist will support tasks as delegated by the Marketing Manager in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to make valuable contributions. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes benefits. The position is open immediately.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support strategy and direction, brand awareness and engagement to build and drive consumer, wholesale, third-party and B2B growth (partners, retail and wholesale customers)
- Create net-new sales opportunities, accelerate existing sales opportunities and build new/strengthen existing relationships in the consumer, wholesale and retail marketplace
- Activation of in-house consumer product brands and partner brands (dompen, etc.)
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion regarding company matters
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
- Work in collaboration with marketing team to support on-the-ground campaigns to drive traffic and sales, consumer awareness and market share growth
- Manage brand ambassadors to drive retail and brand performance and go-to-market strategies
- Spearhead and manage wholesale loyalty program
EVENT PLANNING:
- Build, execute and host online and in-person industry events for Pass and partner brands
- Strategize wholesale and retail event sponsorship and presence across MA
- Manage tradeshows/expos/competitions β research/evaluate cannabis- and CBD- based opportunities, coordinate internal efforts/attendance, oversee product sample transfers through Pass inventory system
- Coordinate and manage all consumer-facing cannabis pop-up events β retail and third-party wholesale
- Coordinate presence at public-facing events (farmers markets, festivals, seasonal markets)
- Manage planning for consumption-based events (private, public, industry-only, consumer)
ADMINISTRATIVE WORK:
- Maintain research + analytics β review industry reports, evaluating consumer-buying behaviors, trends and price competitiveness, deliver KPIs for retail and brand marketing across markets
- Manage consumer and budtender/buyer email collection process and follow up for all events
- Responsible for report/recap of all pop-ups and events including feedback and surveys
- Responsible for writing/distribution of wholesale communications to existing/potential buyers (APEX)
- Development and maintenance of brand ambassador toolkit/road kit and educational materials
- Coordination of wholesale buyer in-store displays, marketing materials and merch giveaways
- Support white label partner relationships and marketing execution
- Responsible for training brand ambassadors
- Maintain up-to-date wholesale mapping of third-party retailers

Essential Work Experience and Qualifications:
- Due to regulations, the candidate must be at least 21 years of age
- 1 -2 years in Cannabis Experience ideal
- Knowledge or willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance
- Has, or pursuing, BA/BS in a related field
- A track record of success
- Self-starter with an ability to work quickly and accurately, with flexibility
- A consideration for aesthetics, styling and presentation
- Effective at time management, detail oriented, highly organized and motivated by accomplishment
- Noteworthy event planning/coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project management, research and data organization skills
- Experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) Google Docs, Google Analytics (SEO and SEM) and Asana (or other project management software) is preferred
- Experience in Canva and/or Adobe program (InDesign, Photoshop) are a plus
- This position requires long periods of standing and/or sitting
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
