Job Title: Extraction Technician II- graveyard shift (6pm-8am)
Reports to: Director of Extraction
Department: Extraction
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Salary: $50,000-$60,000
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Schedule: 40-hour work week; schedule varies
Position Summary: The Extraction Technician II is an intermediate-level position; this position is responsible for executing the basic technical, mechanical and administrative skills to keep the cannabis extraction processes operational. Primarily this means performing tasks to start, maintain and complete the supercritical fluid extraction process, including independently operating the equipment properly.
The technician will already be at a proficient level of basic extraction with the ability to identify problems, and will have the opportunity to further develop the operational and critical thinking skills required to participate in problem-solving and trouble-shooting issues. In addition, the technician will assume responsibility for applying experiential knowledge throughout the course of their employment, as well as demonstrate critical thinking and resourcefulness.
Essential Functions:
- Proficiently and independently run the supercritical carbon dioxide extraction equipment
- Ability to fill out required batch documentation and any related paperwork accurately and precisely
- Ability to identify possible systematic improvements, and increase in production efficiencies
- Ability and willingness to learn and apply problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and understand root causation of issues
- Ability and willingness to work under and take direction from Lead Technicians and/or Management
Additional Functions:
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn and build upon existing skills.
- Perform any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by Management.
- Ability to effectively communicate within a small team.
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.

- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must obtain and retain a state-issued MED a badge prior to employment.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- Some combination of prior technical experience (I.e., lab, manufacturing) and/or prior cannabis experience (i.e., budtender, processing) is required.
- Some experience with cannabis compliance and METRC.
- Must be receptive to coaching, teaching, and mentoring.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends to complete critical tasks as needed.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative learning style.
- Team player with a self-motivated and constant improvement attitude.
- Must consent to and successfully pass background check.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
