The Opportunity
The Director of Sales leads the development and implementation of growth strategies for the Sporting Goods & Specialty channels. The Director of Sales manages a trade budget to create and drive customer specific plans to ensure sales goals are achieved and that Canopy Growth brands are positioned to win in the marketplace. This role is accountable for leading the sales budget planning, trade spend execution, and channel field sales activity to ensure business unit results are attained. Other key activities include the following: successful management of the Sporting Goods & Specialty channels sales strategy, leading and developing distributor partners, accountability for external Broker Partners, development of a talent pipe-line for future succession planning and maintaining the āwin as oneā culture and the integrity of the company.
In addition, this role maintains key cross-functional relationships with the following: Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Finance, Supply Chain and Human Resources. Internal connections with Sales Strategy & Capabilities are expected & critical.
Responsibilities

Develop and communicate clear goals, strategies and business plans to drive growth while appropriately allocating resources to balance short-term and long-term objectives

Promote and maintain a positive rapport with all key customers to achieve BioSteelās objectives. Cultivate respect, support and business partnering with all senior management and with all key accounts to ensure the achievement of corporate goals
