Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Sales for C-store, and Smoke & Vape, is responsible for being a strategic leader, consultatively selling our CBD line of products and offerings into retail channels. Reporting to the VP of Sales, The candidate will manage the existing sales team and help grow and expand our market presence throughout North America among retail establishments.
Will be responsible for:
- Delivering sales from retail & independent channels that meet or exceed established goals
- Developing plans and strategies to achieve the company's sales goals
- Setting meetings with large-chain retailers (C-stores) and other outlets deemed strategically important. Leading the presentation of Green Roads to those prospects, structuring deals and managing those prospects through successful outcomes.
- Creating a culture of success with ongoing business and goal achievement
- Leading the sales team, including goal setting and day-to-day management
- Compiling information and data related to current and prospective customers
- Providing detailed and accurate sales forecasting
- Partnering with Marketing to establish successful support and channel partner programs
Requirements
The Director of Sales for C-store, and Smoke & Vape will be highly experienced and possess existing connections to key buyers/distributors. The candidate will have proven ability to grow market penetration while building and managing new territories. We seek candidates with the following:
- Minimum ten years’ experience selling to buyers and distributors within the CPG space. (specifically C-stores and independent retailers)
- Extensive relationships and experience selling to C-stores, distributors and brokers
- Proven experience launching new products within the last three years
- Strategic thinker with a strong leadership capacity and consultative selling experience
- Experience working with, influencing and collaborating with cross-functional leadership
- Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of senior decision makers including brokers
- Salesforce experience
- Prior experience in CBD, Supplement or regulated industries is preferred
- Experience running a sales team
- Heavy travel, 50%+
