As Curaleaf's Digital Communications & Community Manager your responsibilities will include facilitating content posting and placement for a diverse portfolio by identifying opportunities to optimize performance and boost engagement within the social community. This role will be responsible for day-to-day implementation and monitoring of social media posts, conversations and community engagement. You will facilitate the execution of both national and local digital marketing communication and social media presence.
Responsibilities:
Execution of both national and local digital marketing communication efforts including:
- SMS/MMS
- Push Notifications
- Chat
- Surveys/ Feedback
- Social Media Comms / Customer Service (future move to dedicated social specialist)
- Location Directory services.
- Execution of internal communications, including Employee and PR email/E-Newsletters, Intranet, Wisetail
- Execution of National Social Media Accounts, including forecasting trends, new platforms, and strategies that will put Curaleaf and all subsidiary brands in the forefront of new social spaces
- Assistance and leadership of all state level social media practices; Including guidance, support, collaborative strategy, with a keen focus on Top Down/Bottom Up consistency in messaging, branding, and engagement
- Direct involvement with day to day operations of Social Media Management platforms (Sprout Social, MeltWater, etc.) to ensure successful leveraging of our social media presence company wide
- Analytics for all digital comms platforms. Partnering with CRM/e-Comm Manager assist to implement strategies for improvement
- Support State Marketing teams with digital communications, including best practices, new strategies, reporting, and training/onboarding new marketing leads
- Current key initiatives include by not limited to: Launch Sprout Social platform, Executing weekly email cadence for State dispensaries, assistance with and oversight of SMS platform functionality and strategies
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field
- 5-7 years' experience in Digital Marketing and Communications
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of all including Social Media platforms required, including ability to manage, train, and develop strategies on both a national and local scale
- Experience with Social Media Monitoring platforms such as Sprout Social
- Experience with SMS & MMS Marketing including segmentation, tracking, KPIs, Long Code, Short Links, Carrier Errors
- Experience with Email Marketing including building email templates, segmentation, tracking, KPIs

Summary
We’re looking for a versatile manager to lead and contribute to digital communications projects for our Craft Cannabis brand in Colorado. The ideal candidate has the creative vision to translate ideas into compelling and visually appealing digital communications products, the technical expertise to move comfortably between digital channels, and the organizational and leadership skills to manage complex projects from idea to product. This is a job for someone who not only enjoys technical work but also excels at the softer skills of building relationships, balancing priorities, and working collaboratively with staff in a complex, dynamic environment!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Web management and strategy
- Manage web projects and communications campaigns, including contributions from staff and periodically from outside consultants. Develop concepts and manage projects, through start-up to execution and close-out. Develop, articulate, and maintain analytics tailored to goals and meaningful communications outcomes.
- Prepare for and project-manage (with IT and Marketing partners) a full website redesign for our team.
- Establish and maintain content calendars to ensure digital channels are regularly refreshed, accurate, performing, and reflecting organizational priorities.
- Consult with cultivars and operations staff across Maggie’s to assess digital communications needs and strategically evaluate requests; offer tools, training, and methods, as necessary to enable staff to communicate directly and effectively.
- Design web layouts and publish content, in line with brand and style standards. Actively and consistently incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion considerations into content choices.
- Create cohesion between the in-store and digital customer experiences.
- Actively participate in the development of brand standards in conjunction with ownership and marketing partners.
- Digital creative support
- Bring creative vision, a digital-first approach, and technical expertise to storytelling at Maggie’s by managing and producing images, infographics, videos, and other assets that elevate our communications.
- Develop and integrate creative content across a variety of digital platforms, including but not limited to website, social media, intranet, campus-wide digital displays.
- Stay abreast of digital communications trends and opportunities, to pragmatically implement best practices that work for Maggie’s.
- Traffic Strategies
- Identify and design opportunities to create greater web presence through algorithm design.
Qualifications
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least five years of relevant experience in communications or web design
- At least three years of relevant experience in the cannabis industry
- Experience leading creative digital projects
- Experience collaborating closely with stakeholders who are technical experts, such as cultivars, operators or other professionals
Skills and Abilities
- Creative vision and technical skills to translate ideas into communications products
- Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements and explain technical issues
- Experience keeping projects and project teams focused, organized, and moving forward. Knowledge of project and task management tools is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of online production environments, project phases, and common challenges
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Basic graphic design and production skills
- Experience with analytics tools, such as Google Analytics
- Keen attention to detail, with particular emphasis on accuracy, follow-up, and follow-through
