We are looking for an experienced, established and enthusiastic Logistics Supervisor with cannabis industry experience to join the growing Team. The Logistics Supervisor will help ensure that all warehouse activities (Employee MGT, Sales orders, Pick/Pack, Customer Service, Data MGT, Returns, Finance, Stock, and Warehouse Fulfilment) are performed accurately, to a high standard and in a timely manner while maximizing sales and profit. Additionally, the Logistics Supervisor supports the warehouse’s in achieving their objectives, manages workflow processes, provides resolution to operational problems, and contributes to the strategic direction of the overall organization.
The ideal Team Member will have strong leadership, well organized, assist in business development and improvement as well logistics/delivery management experience. You must have the ability to work independently with little oversight and have a superior track record in leadership positions.
This role is specifically responsible for:
- Work closely with VP of Operations to develop KPI’s and have opportunities to be incentivized based on achieving task-oriented goals from those KPI’s
- Supervision, coaching, and performance management of staff utilizing a “hands-on” leadership approach
- Encourage, enforce and ensure compliance with systems, policies and procedures
- Track, analyze and report on operations, identifying areas for continuous improvements
- Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills
- Coordinate tasks and goals with the VP of Operations and participate in strategic planning
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure that all financial processes associated with each financial month, quarter and year end are executed accurately and in a timely manner, including forecasting and budgeting
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure all necessary processes are in place to ensure that stock is accounted for, stock counts are accurate, and variances are investigated
- Ensure that customer data is protected in accordance with the relevant federal and provincial Privacy of Data / Data Protection legislation
- Ensure that the team responds to customer queries within set standards and agreed response times
- Collate useful qualitative feedback from customers and share with other managers to assist in product development and adoption of improved practices
- Drive ongoing improvement of operational processes with team leaders to deliver efficiencies, ensuring consistency across the entire operation
- Support the team to continuously improve processes with the intention to maximize efficiencies and identify opportunities.
- Contribute insight into the strategic direction of the organization through understanding different aspects of the business
- Analyze new and potential projects/initiatives to ensure that there is always a healthy reward to risk ratio and that projects are consistent with the organization’s objectives

Successful candidates will bring…

- Minimum three years of experience working in a warehouse at the supervisory, operations, or leadership level
- Experience working with NetSuite or robust ERP system is a bonus
- Excellent team building skills, and experience rewarding collective collaborative wins

- Knowledge and understanding of IT systems and networking
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
- Honesty, integrity and proven work ethic
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Understanding of the fulfilment process and how to achieve cost effective business solutions
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft office applications is required
- Passionate about the cannabis industry is a bonus
- Ability to work remotely as well as travel to Canada and other locations around North America
