Where’s Weed is seeking an ambitious, motivated Sales Account Executive to join our sales and marketing team. The Sales Account Executive will report to our upper management team and will be responsible for helping plan, implement and manage overall company sales strategies. This includes, but is not limited to generating new leads, making sales calls, converting leads into paid customers, maintaining relationships for continued success, updating our CRM database and meeting weekly or monthly sales goals.
Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter with a proven sales track record who feels comfortable working in an ever-changing, high-paced environment. A strong understanding of the cannabis industry and/or book of business in top markets is preferred, but not required.
This is a full-time position based in Denver, CO so candidates must reside in or around the Denver area. Note that this is an office-based position, however, due to the current COVID-19 crisis, remote work is in effect until further notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help develop and execute a company sales strategy that hits prospecting calls, leads and sales / marketing goals
- Cultivate customer relationships with decision makers
- Manage account needs via phone, email or in person
- Make outgoing client calls or cold calls to sell products and services
- Meet daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
- Provide timely and accurate responses to customer concerns
- Maintain accurate records of account communications, transactions, proposals and leads via internal CRM platform
- Prepare and present quotes / proposals + monthly reports
- Provide competitive market feedback when necessary
- Attend industry events / trade shows to spread brand awareness and prospect new clients
Ideal Candidates:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing (or related field)
- Minimum 2 years of sales management / lead generation experience
- Knowledge of CRM platforms (Hubspot, Salesforce, etc) + MS Office
- Experience within cannabis industry with a previous book of business
- Strong understanding of customer service needs
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Great organization skills, in-office and digitally
- Ability to set and execute goals promptly
- Ability to utilize sales and performance metrics effectively
- Strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised
- Problem-solving & negotiation skills
- Positive attitude with a hunger to be part of a growing company

Where's Weed is seeking an outgoing, motivated Content Coordinator to join our digital marketing team. The Content Coordinator will work with our Director of Marketing to help drive effective content and social media marketing strategies through the execution of quality, consistent content for our network of cannabis-related web properties. We want someone who is a team player, passionate about content (blog and social media platforms) and highly creative! Our perfect candidate will also be detailed oriented, a great editor and have an eye for design! We work in a high-paced environment, so everyone is expected to hit the ground running, multi-task like a pro and go the extra mile when necessary.
This is a full time position based in Denver, CO. Note that due to the current COVID-19 crisis, remote work is in effect until further notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Director of Marketing in execution of various digital marketing strategies to build brand awareness, increase engagement and achieve company goals
- Demonstrate exceptional writing and editing skills to create and publish original content across our blog and website, social media platforms and email campaigns
- Design comprehensive, engaging social media marketing campaigns
- Build and manage integrated, cross-channel content calendars for blog and social media
- Develop a streamlined process to successfully coordinate freelance writers
- Write and schedule consistent blog posts and social media content in brand tone/voice
- Help develop creative marketing materials
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for each medium
- Monitor monthly progress across all platforms, then effectively report findings to the senior management team
- Manage additional day-to-day marketing activities
- Help identify trending content topics and areas of opportunity
- Continuously implement SEO best practices
- Help provide creative direction for graphic design (or create them yourself)
- Research & identify influencer outreach campaigns
- Related marketing duties including, but not limited to:
- Participate in daily/weekly marketing meetings
- Assist with website maintenance – SEO, images, etc.
- Support external partner companies (as needed)
- Attend various industry events on behalf of the company
- Assist with photo/video shoots to capture content
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of digital, content and/or social media marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or other related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful content and social media marketing strategies
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, best practices and trends
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with excellent grammar and composition
- Works well independently and in cross-functional teams (internal and external)
- Proactive, passionate team player with a high attention to detail
Ideal Candidates:
- Knowledge and understanding of the cannabis industry
- Naturally creative with an eye for great aesthetic. Graphic design experience is a huge plus!
