The research focuses on brain imaging of cigarette smokers,
cannabis users, and people living with HIV. Specifically, positron emission tomography (PET) scanning and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are used to evaluate brain function and structure in people with these conditions. The research assistant will work on most aspects of these research studies.
Assist in recruiting and screening research participants. Helping supervise participant flow through the study, which includes administering rating scales, collecting biological samples, helping oversee brain imaging sessions, assuring timely participant payment, and other tasks. Assisting with administrative tasks, such as obtaining regulatory approvals for the research. Other research-related tasks.
. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field from an accredited college or university AND no experience required.
Must have basic computer skills (e.g., ability to use Microsoft Office programs). Additional knowledge of neuroscience and/or computer programs (e.g., statistical programs) is a plus, but not necessary.
