Treasure Valley Cannabis Company is a vertically integrated cannabis company based out of Ontario, Oregon. Our company prides itself on offering our customers a craft cannabis experience they cannot get at any other dispensary in the country. Our farm to table model boasts an outdoor food court/event center, a cannabis grow, and a cannabis processor all in one location, all visible and accessible from the retail sales floor. We are looking to add an assistant manager to our team who can handle the day to day operations and needs of the retail store and staff. This person should have an extensive background in retail or operations management. They should be someone looking to grow with a company and focused on ensuring its success. This is a role that will work closely with upper management and be someone who will be a large part of our future growth and success.
In this role, you will help set the tone for the store team and help bring our brand to life for our customers and employees. Your leadership role is critical in supporting the execution of the store strategy to achieve performance goals and drive profitable sales growth through all aspects of the store, including; employee discipline, customer issues, ensuring store compliance, reporting issues to the general and upper management, assisting in recruitment for all retail positions, assisting in scheduling for the location, non-cannabis inventory management and retail cash management, workforce accountability of all retail employees.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Workforce accountability for 35-50 employees
- Oversight of daily retail operations. Ensuring operational issues are reported to general and upper management along with potential solutions for the issues to improve company operations
- Train, guide and mentor employees and evaluate their performance and productivity in completing their job duties. Working with upper management to develop training programs
- Ensuring the retail team is performing to upper management’s expectations. Oversight of all disciplinary issues within their retail location.
- Cash Management - End of day reporting and reconciliation, till building, reporting bank discrepancies to upper management.
- Submitting operations related expense receipts to accounting
- Assisting in the creation, development, and implementation of a process for hiring and recruitment of retail level employees for their store location
- Assisting in the scheduling and accountability of labor resources for their retail location
- Ensuring timesheets/records are accurate and submitted bi weekly for payroll
- Provide feedback and make recommendations that increase the success of marketing efforts and the effectiveness of current marketing strategies at reaching target markets
- Engage in key or targeted customer activities
- Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect for all employees, customers, and vendors
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration or a related field AND/OR a minimum of three (3) years of experience in retail operations management with a minimum of 30 employees
- Ability to work 40-50 hours per week
- 3-5 years experience in operations management within a retail setting
- Experience managing or coordinating complex projects and/or programs
- Can lead and support; coordinating tasks as well as driving to completion
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly cross-functional environment, develop strong relationships, and influence stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Communicates equally well with senior leaders, front-line employees and cross-functional groups, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity
- High proficiency with online project management & collaboration tools, especially Google and Microsoft suites and can help teach & train teams on how to use them
- Must be proficient and able to demonstrate a strong understanding of technical communication
- Strong understanding of scheduling logistics and ability
- At least 21 years of age
- Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience required
- Experience in the cannabis industry highly desirable, but not required
- Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match
- Willingness to follow and comply with all company policies
- An OLCC Marijuana worker’s permit or the ability to acquire one
- Availability to work weekends, nights, or mornings
Compensation
Starting at $19.23-$21.63/hour DOE +tips

Job Duties
- Work closely with our accounting team to, process and track accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments
- Help keep company records organized and up to date
- Submit Quarterly sales tax reports to the state
- Assist in basic bookkeeping duties
- Provide HR related administrative support
- Help the different company departments with hiring, specifically resume review, phone screenings, and scheduling interviews

Requirements and Skills
- Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration or 3 years of equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as an Office Manager, Front Office Manager, Bookkeeper, or Administrative Assistant
- Knowledge of Office Administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)

We are seeking outgoing and passionate Budtenders who are looking for long-term employment.
